So whatâs next? You heal. You grow. And you help others.

They went to the same University and ate at the same caf table in total silence for four straight years. They were best friends
Itâs okay that youâre not who you thought you would be
Off the coast of the Bahamas, a giant awaits⊠At 5.5 metres tall (18 feet), she is the size of a two story building and weighs a hefty 60 tonnes. Inspired by the Greek myth of Titan Atlas, who held the heavens on his shoulders, this Bahamian girl, entitled Ocean Atlas, is depicted to be holding the weight of the ocean on her shoulders. This sculpture, produced by English artist Jason deCaires Taylor, is not only an impressive piece of art. Instead, Jason, like in similar projects,, created this piece with conservation methods in mind. The sculpture is made from marine grade cement, which is pH neutral and very strong; it also doesnât require reinforcing metal, which could corrode underwater. In addition, it has a texturised surface, perfect for mimicking reef environments; which was an important factor in this build. In fact, the sculpture was placed downstream from natural coral reefs, so that embryonic coral drifting through the water will reach the structure, creating an artificial reef system and encouraging colonisation, as well as the added benefit of drawing tourists away from diving hotspots in over-stressed areas. From a social perspective, the sculpture intends to demonstrate that people, particularly the next generation, can support our oceans and stop them from collapsing. A noble message. -Jean To see a short video of the construction and immersion of Ocean Atlas, see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k81odhXg2Lw
its true that crying wont solve things but we dont cry to solve. we cry to release
Taking the lid off a pot thatâs boiling too much wont solve the problem of the heat being too high, but it will release the pressure so youâll have time to get the heat under control before everything inside the pot explodesÂ
Shoutout to Percy Jackson for being a kids book that straight up murdered the abusive step dad instead of doing some bullshit redemption arc where they have to forgive him
nooo donât express serious emotions youâve been designated âthe funny oneâ aha
nooo donât exist in a way that contradicts the one-dimensional version of you Iâve created in my head youâre so convenient aha
oh to be a slightly ridiculous looking sea monster on a geographically inaccurate medieval map
please make sure that wherever youâre at in life, you donât treat it like a transitory period. donât waste your college years wishing to already be graduated & have a job. donât waste your single years wishing for someone to be in love with. if/when those things come, they will come in due time and they will be good. but there is nothing like looking back and feeling empty because you wasted literal years ignoring what you had because you were hoping for something better. while itâs important to better yourself and reach for your goals, donât neglect the present because thatâs where you are now and itâs your now that determines your future.Â
