I think that part of what irks me about AI being used even for "small" stuff like meme graphics (aside from all the larger problems obviously) is like.... the time spent on it was part of the humor. "this is a silly inconsequential joke but I had to stop everything and spend 5 minutes making it" was, at least for me, part of the joke. Someone really took time out of their day to make me look at something silly they took time out of their day to make. Now it's like someone took time out of my day to make me look at something no one even made. Stop wasting my time if you aren't wasting yours too.

“But it scares me!” Is it hurting you? No? You’ll be fine. Being scared and being harmed are not always the same thing. Learn to tell the difference and then act accordingly.

"But it makes me uncomfortable!" The world is an uncomfortable place and complete strangers are not required to fix that for you. Learning to endure harmless discomfort is a life skill for existing in public.

"But I don't like it!" There's plenty of things in the world and not all of them are fun or enjoyable or For You. This applies to everyone and we all have to deal with that in a mature fashion.

"But I want to do the thing!" You can't always do what you want. Most people learn this in preschool. Wanting something does not entitle you to be inconsiderate to the people around you.

And learn the difference between rudeness and -isms and -isms and social courtesy. It is not ableism if someone isn't wearing earbuds on the bus, but it is fucking rude. It is not sexist to ask a femme-presenting person to put on a shirt in McDonalds if masc-presenting people also have to put on a shirt--it's courtesy to the people around you.

I was a little bussy last week, but today I am back to draw things that make me happy. Today, my favorite character from my favorite books series: Harrowhark Nonagesimus, the Reverend Daughter of the Ninth House, from the Locked Tomb Series, by Tamsyn Muir <3

I love this little gremlin so much. I am 100% a Gideon, so I 100% love Harrow (also she reminds me of my wife <3)

I am re reading the series while trying to survive the Alectopause. Just finished GtN, and starting HtN again and, jesus I love this characters and world.
