i have now clocked in more play hours into splatoon 2 than BOTW which i’m not sure is an accomplishment or just sad

although tbh after i beat BOTW i had a hard time finding reasons to return to it. the DLC didn’t do much for me.

similar to how some people order a bunch of shit off amazon when they’re drunk, i contact local dog adoption centers with misspelled inquires about various dogs.

i rarely play my ps4 but every time i log in i have at least 10 notifications from what i assume are bots and they all say “hey”

day drinking is wonderful it’s 6pm central standard time and i’m already in my pj’s ready for bed

i am ready, every day, to get emotionally fucked up

i forgot i had a tumblr still lmao

it’s basically all ive been listening to lately

i completely forgot about this site for about year or so here’s a rundown of my life in that time.

- broke up with my girlfriend of 4 years about a month ago and slowly recovering. it was a fairly mutual split but it still hurts.

- completely gave up drinking soda/sugary beverages and, in combination with working out 3-4 times a week at the gym, i’ve lost about 45 pounds since january. also stopped drinking (alcohol) as much and have become a pretty avid cyclist.

- got a promotion at work a few months ago, which is cool because having money is fun, but it’s become more mentally draining with each passing day.

- despite having a “real” job, i still work at trader joe’s on the weekend because i feel much more connected with my coworkers there. it feels like a family away from home, and they’re all incredibly supportive of me and all my ventures. (also, my other job still doesn’t know that i haven’t actually quit, and i’m genuinely surprised no one has found out yet.)

- moved to a different neighborhood in chicago.

- pretty alone but kind of ok? i’m trying to just focus more on becoming a better individual overall. i have my bouts of depression but every time i get into a slump i basically just force myself to go outside or the gym and it helps a bit, even if just to pass time before going to bed.

- i also bought a nintendo switch. add me as a friend if you have one too.

- also thinking about adopting a cat soon and naming them Inspector Gadget.

- if you’ve made it all the way thru this: be excellent to one another.
