Normal day on Cartoonverse. Heroes fighting, foes cussing, songs on the background. Ah, yes. Truly peaceful.

HAHAHAHA-*Caugh* you toons have no power against me!
An evil threat echoed the place.
Everyone stood in silence, no knowing if this was a real threat or a new antagonist from a cartoon.
Heey, buddy! Good job being a villain, keep it up!
Said Star B. as she gave her a thumbs up. Marco giving her a worried face.
You fool! No one shall insult me! I am Vortex, lord of reality!
Said Vortex, turning Star into a mere drawing within seconds.
Star!
Shouted Marco, her sidekick. Crying, he took the sheet of paper where his friend was.
You! Return Star back to normal!
Annoyed, Vortex procceded to turn Marco into a drawing as well.
Everyone was shocked, even the so feared Black Hat.
Now now, you see. I'm no villian! I just don't like cartoons at all...And with this said, I'll turn you all into a simple piece of paper.
Said Vortex smugly. Everyone started running away, making that guy angry. He started turning some of our people into drawings: Garnet, Dr. Flug, Dipper and, worst of all, my best friend B-fly!

STARCO CANT BE REAL
Now, this is not a post made so people rant about how this ship is real and blah blah. This post is made so people understands a little.
Let's look back at very first episodes:
At first Marco didn't even like Star being with him and almost made her go away! However, he realized he was being rude and eventually he became fond to her presence: a friendship.
Now you may be saying: "But what about Marco being jelous of Tom?!"
Easy, it's a natural and human reaction. Imagine, for example, your bestie starts being in touch again with his/her ex and that ex asks him/her for a date o smth. At first you act all cool and stuff but then the fear of being forgotten or fading starts appearing. That's what happened to Marco, he was afraid of loosing his friend because of Tom ( a guy that in a past hurted Star since they broke up). And with this being told, we can now pass to the BLOOD MOON BALL.
Marco, trying to stop Star from committing smth she might regret, followed her in order to separate her from Tom, accidentally ending up within the red moon light causing their souls to bond in some way.
In addtion, in further seasons we see Marco having other love interests even though Star confessed her feelings to her.
In conclusion, they might be a something in the future, but it won't be nothing more than the course working on them.
