bfdi au stuff: Felix!

my first character post! this is felix! he is the human version of firey in this au. there isnt really a "main character" in my au, but if i had to choose one, felix would be it. ive been imagining my au as an animated series, and felix is the one who kicks off the whole thing.

felix is originally from mexico, but moved to the states when he was very young. while he was shy at first due to the language barrier, he became pretty popular with kids at his new elementary school due to his fiery and energetic personality. people like to hang out with him, especially one girl that felix met in middle school (more on her in a future post...).

as stated, felix was very energetic and athletic as a kid. however, he has become a bit more reserved and mellow, starting in high school. his athletic nature has gotten him injured a few times as a kid. from his cheek patch, the scrape on his knee, and the burn scar on his elbow, what hasnt this guy gone through?

now time for the commentary stuff because i LOVE yapping about my characters. so yeah! felix was the character i posted art of in my status update! ive been drawing him a lot more ever since i got the idea to talk about my bfdi au on tumblr. that image of felix as a kid in the car looking at america for the first time is one of the scenarios ive been imagining in my head for a WHILEEEE, so i feel pretty happy that now ive gotten it out of my head. uhhh i dont really have anything else to say without spoiling the other characters and their stuff, so ill just cut it off here

so what is my bfdi au even about?

i dont have a name for this au at the moment. but basically it's a school au where all the characters are human. i came up with the school thing because some of the character dynamics of bfdi characters reminded me of middle and high schoolers lol. the setting is in a big city, similar to new york city. im currently tryna decide if it should be set in a fictional city, maybe! so yeah, the au is like a slice of life kind of thing. there isnt a main "goal" to the story (or stories i should say) of this au. it primarily focuses on character dynamics and the characters living their lives. the main cast consists of the original 20 characters from the first season of bfdi. all of them have their own story or "arc", or are at least heavily involved in another characters arc. additional characters from other seasons of bfdi may also be important to another characters arc if they have a notable relationship with one of the og 20 in the original series (eg, freesmart). many developments and character dynamics parallel events from the bfdi series.

each character has a real person name. heres the list of names for the og 20

hello

so if you couldnt tell by the long hiatuses i take seemingly out of nowhere, i dont exactly ENJOY posting on social media lol. i have a real life that i want to live. been pretty busy with school n stuff. but i kinda wanna start posting a bit again, more on that later

since january, ive been fixating on bfdi. ive actually been a fan of the show for years, i just dont really say anything about my other interests cuz i mainly posted paper mario art and i wanted my socials to have one main focus. i was worried people would be deterred if they followed me for one thing, but then i posted about another thing, if ykwim. however, ive been thinking about this au thing based on bfdi for months, starting this january or february i think? that's where the "i wanna start posting a bit more" thing comes in. i kinda wanna post about that au, because ive been thinking about getting my stories out to the world. or at least, as best as i can. i was debating if i should start another blog for that, but i decided not to. i mean my accounts pretty dead as is lol, so this could liven it up a bit. plus, i really SHOULD START USING TAGS MORE ON THIS WEBSITE. i dont exactly like hashtags but theyre really useful here, i realized. i also have a paper mario au that ive been developing since 2022! so like, tags could be useful in this case. if ppl wanna see the bfdi stuff, theyll use the bfdi tags in archives, and vice versa for those interested in my paper mario au, if i ever get to posting about that.

i have a lot of stories and ocs i wanna share, ive just never shared them because im worried about people calling me cringe or hating on my ideas. thats a fear ive had for years. i have anxiety and i catastrophize easily, so getting myself out there is hard for me. but i wanna try to be myself on this account.

here's a sneak peak of my bfdi au. its not specifically for it, but just wanted to give a glimpse of it and the designs i made for it for the first time. im pretty tired, so maybe ill get to talking about it later, tomorrow, maybe today, i dont know. but ill get to yapping about it soon. i dont even have a proper name for this au. ive closed asks on my blog because i realized im REALLY SHY and scared, but when i get the courage and talk about this au more, i might open them up again if by some chance anyone has any questions about it. that's it from me. stay strong ♥️

this game means so much to me. i love it very dearly, and its one of my fav games of all time. i had a different idea for this art, but i dont have the time. perhaps i might do it for papers marios 25th american anniversary in february? but, i hope you enjoy this drawing i made.

i like to think that loog got his scar when he was throwing hands with ireen back when she fought him and the others to make them join idle. and then he uses that whole pirate story to cover it up because he knows that one kid he tells it to will 100% buy it.

btw i like to think that, along with the scarfs, the belts are also part of the idle fit LOL so thats why everyone except ireen doesnt have belts during the fight scene
