District Delta was fucked. Everyone was fucked.
Ever since the skies opened up and portals have been popping up, you’ve had this sense of doom, on the level where you fucked yourself over and lost your psionics.
You had to find some way to stop it, but…shit….shit fucking hell god damn, your mind was a continuous string of curses screaming against the voices of the dead. Doomed. You were all fucking doomed.
And then you’d find yourself in front of one of the portals, just as the militia of the other side arrived through it. They surrounded you and you didn’t fucking know what the fuck to do, and your head, it hurt so much…everything hurt, it just would not STOP.
They leveled their guns at you and prepared to fire.
You weren’t even aware of this anymore, you were just clutching at your head and shrieking out in vain against the voices of the people who died.
“57H0P 7H1G5. 57H0P FUCK1NG DY1NG 0H MY G0WD FUCK1GNG 5H1H17 1 C4N7 FUCK1GN 74K3 7H1G5 5H1H17 4NYM0R3″
“G0 H0M3 1 D0N7 C4R3 JU57 57U7 UP, 4LL 0F Y0U. 570P Y3LL1NG 47 M3 0H G0D 1M 50RRY JU57 PL345H3 570P…”
“3V3RY0N35 FUCK1GN D00M3D C4N7 Y0U FUCK1NG 73LL? N0 0F C0UR53H N07 83C4U53 N080DY FUCK1NG L157H3N5.”

“G0D 47 L345H7 QU137 D03N 7H3 V01C35 4 L177L3 0H G0D HRHFHHHH5DHFJG”
Apparently, the ones circling you didn’t care much for your words. The command to fire was given, and by some strange coincidence you’d fallen to your knees at that precise fucking moment, a stroke of luck that ended in friendly fire from the npcs.
But nobody was listening.
Nobody was.
Not even the voices screaming in your head. And when the npcs fell from the founds they inflicted on each other, the voices only doubled in intensity.
“57H0P 7H1G5 1 D0N7 UND3R574ND.”
You’d try to get up, but you fell down again when you slipped on something. It was red, and you would rather not know where it came from. The streets had a lot of that as of late.
So instead you’d…just sit down and hug your knees to your chest, cursing your doom over and over.
Fuck this.
All kinds of insanity was going on everywhere around her. She was worried about several things, but one thing crossed her mind like a neon sign. Were her cats okay? She'd made her way toward her home in District Delta to check on the cats she'd found since she'd arrived. The were priority since she knew her friends could take care of themselves. Tiny kittens? Not so much.
With a sense of caution, she turned invisible, making sure to not raise any alarms as she sneaked her way through the area. That was until she heard a bunch of screaming. She was honestly powerless to stop what she saw and it bothered her, though she readied her laser rifle to at least try to help. How could that many people gang up on what seemed like a mostly defenceless troll? Or anyone, really. But what unfolded instead was probably the most amazingly lucky and kind of sad thing she'd ever seen.
The girl floated herself over, careful not to step foot on the ground there, even if she was in her God Tier outfit. Reappearing in front of him, she held out a hand toward him and gave him a reassuring smile.
“Um, hi, 'sup Mister Troll? So, you should probs not stay right here. There are mad kindsa baddybads comin' through there. Got these fuckin' portals all around the districts like overflowing toilets but instead of like water and shit it's mostly just these jerks comin' to kill everyone. But...um, anyway at the risk of soundin’ hella cheesy + ten times cliché, 'come with me if you wanna live'. (lmao).”
