part of what distinguishes bi women in relationships with men from straight women is that bi women are still vulnerable to homophobia & biphobia even when in relationship w men and that (abusive straight) men will absolutely use that against their girlfriends and that’s something that straight society absolutely does not want to acknowledge or deal with, meaning that bi women in relationships with men absolutely need to be able to fall back on other wlw and the lgbt community in general
if ya think bisexual people in hetero relationships have the same experiences as straight people & should just stop being pretentious about it… but also think bisexual people in same-sex relationships have no common ground with gay people… perhaps the problem is not with bisexual people, but with you
You cant say bi people are ‘basically straight’ when in opposite sex relationships while saying that they have nothing in common with gay people when in same sex relationships
It’s Bisexuality day so I made this thing both as a project and also because I wanted to so here, celebrate yourself (or others) with a little defiance.
got it? good.
No I don’t got it
Bisexuality is not half gay and half straight. Bisexuality is not in between gay and straight. Bisexuality is not gay when dating the same gender and straight when dating a different gender. Bisexuality is not gay-ish or straight-ish.
Bisexuality is its own fully independent self-contained complete orientation. It is its own flavor, not a patchwork of others.
Now do you get it?

it always makes me sad to see the cropped image on my dash cuz like
the original specifically centers bi women’s sexuality & that context just gets cropped out 😔
the amount of people on here who think it’s ok to say bi women act like men towards women or see women as objects despite recognising it would 100% be homophobia if it was said to gay person is insane lmao
"no you see, when bi women date men, semen leaks into their brain and it makes them enforce heteronormative relationship roles on lesbians! all bisexual women do this because they're evil whores. also lesbians shouldn't date them because bisexuals always end up marrying men anyway."
as bisexual women, everyone we date is "wrong," and we require constant vigilance so we don't destroy the lives of other people through our slutiness and deceit.
we "can't" date:
hetero/bi men (see above)
feminine women, bc it means we are fetishizing femininity and are not really attracted to women
masculine women, bc it means we are really attracted to masculinity bc we secretly crave "male energy" and want to be with a man
other bi women, bc the relationship will never work and we'll end up betraying each other for a man
lesbians (see above)
basically the only time we can be trusted to be telling the truth about our sexuality and intentions is when we are single, and even then the goalpost would shift to our potential to ruin other people's lives. seriously, so much of the stigma against bisexuals is based on the belief that we ~hypothetically~ have double the pool of people to harm, and even if we aren't/haven't harmed anyone, well we always have the "capacity" to, so it's better to not trust any of us...
its not even funny how many people literally will say things like bisexuality doesnt exist because all bisexuals are secretly straight but also if bisexuality does exist its because theyre just addicted to porn or hypersexual and they cant have feelings unless its for men because theyre all disgusting and tainted and they probably have stds and bisexuals are actually responsible for all homophobia not because theyre the ones committing hate crimes or anything but because i met a woman who said she was bi but then had a relationship with a man once which proves that bisexuals dont exist but if they do exist theyre rotten whores, no i dont believe anyone is biased against bisexuals why would you ask
fellas is it puritan to say that certain things are unacceptable
“puritan” why do you hate when people have boundaries
"puriteen" as well, especially when the person saying it is an adult
