i love love love titanic so much but the present-day scenes are by far the weakest in the film. they serve their purpose by framing the film's beginning and end but they're just kind of There

mmkay...i see your point, but when im watching, i feel they build anticipation for the main plot in the beginning. also i find the humor in those scenes refreshing considering what the rest of the movie is like
