"Hey Dad, are you and Mama... okay? I mean you two don't act like you used to. Its like you are afraid to touch her."
Tirion frowned at his daughter’s concern for her parents, “We’re fine, Tiye.” He shrugged out of the tainted armor, pulling the pauldrons off and setting them onto the table with a heavy thud and unlatching the breast and backplates. He reached up to undo the chainmail he wore underneath the plate armor, pulling it over his head and revealing his skin. What once had been warm, pale pink skin of the living; it was now cold and a pale grey. Runic tattoos were etched into his flesh, the magic infused in them keeping him alive and conscious. Tirion looked to his daughter, blue runic eyes staring at her. “Did she put you up to this?”
Hearing her father say that they were fine Tiye sighed and put her hands on her hips. “No sir. In fact she expressly told me to not bother you with this question. But lets be honest Dad, we both know I was not going to listen. I worry about you two and thats why I’m asking.”
Tiye remembered her younger siblings, even Syri and Lyri asking her to check on her parents. With Kiya acting like everything was fine when Tiye knew something was bothering her mother.
The former Highlord rolled his eyes and continued to remove his armor until he only stood in his britches. “As I said, we are fine and you needn’t concern yourself about us.”
“But Dad, I am going to. I care about you and Mama. That’s why I worry. I know this is not something you would want to hear from your kid.” She raised her hands as if to back off from the subject.
