I am a little worried what Spotify thinks of my musical taste.

I just got an AD from meow mix to give my cat (don't own a cat) a quiz to find out their zodiac sign to match them with their most appropriate food.

You seem to know a lot about AO3. Is there a secret hidden tag for a nonbinary couple? I can't seem to find a tag like there is for yaoi and yuri.

assuming you mean Categories tag. no. these are all the tags ao3 provides for Categories as of now.

I’ve heard people say they use “Other” for nonbinary relationships, but I’ve never written or posted anything about a nonbinary ship so take my word with a grain of salt in case I got it wrong.

I’m sure you can use Additional Tags to tag your work with Nonbinary though.

Yeah, I am using "other" for non-binary relationships, but I admittedly hate it and do kinda feel it is somewhat exosexist that there is no better option for it.

I love Ao3 overall, but... just a more specific nb tag would be welcome, as currently human on human non-binary stuff tends to be hidden largely between monster fucking. And I love monster fucking, don't get me wrong. I just... wished that there was a tag to look for non-binary stuff.

I feel like this should be really fucking simple to understand.

Do not copy and paste anyone's work anywhere else online. It is not yours. Unless you have explicit permission from the author, never copy their work.

For me this includes:

To "check" if it is ai

To translate into another language

To swap the characters into a different fandom

To post on a different website

It is as good as theft! Stop it! Read it or close the window.

Treat AO3 like a national forest: take only memories, leave only footprints (comments).

Always tough seeing how rampant polyphobia still is online with the same hateful talking points as any queerphobia. People openly and snarkily celebrating someone grieving a break up in a poly or open relationship because they’re “bound to fail” and “hopefully you learned your lesson” (as if every queer relationship hasn’t faced this exact scrutiny in the past. “See, this gay couple broke up. Yet another example of why homosexuality is destined to fail because it’s unnatural.”).

But then I remember how everyone IRL I’ve trusted to talk to about my poly relationship has either been immediately accepting of it or been really curious and asked me to explain how it works. And when I do, they go, “Huh. I don’t get it but it sounds like it works for you.” The best response was when Tulli explained navigating jealousy and compersion to an older, married person and they went, “Wow, I wish I heard this stuff when I was younger.” It’s a good reminder that in real life people suck less and have more stakes and motivation to show basic human empathy. Harder to be a random dickhead when you can’t just say something shitty to a stranger and run away scot-free.

I actually think aspec people have a lot more in common with poly people than with monogamous people — both aspect and poly people need to deconstruct assumptions about taught relationship hierarchies and how they’re “supposed” to work. Both aspec and poly people have to then build their own way of navigating relationships that are fulfilling to them from that rubble, piece by piece. Both aspec and poly people are going to have to face at the very least some amount of friction when explaining why they navigate relationships the way then do, and why traditional relationship structures don’t work for them. Both will likely hear at some point that their relationships are somehow more shallow or as many others have pointed out, “doomed” than “traditional” (ie monogamous, allosexual, probably with the intention marriage) relationships.

Amanormativity and mononormativity are two sides of the same coin: both are telling you that your relationships have to look and function and be prioritized and structured in one specific way in order to be meaningful or legitimate, they’re just coming at it from different angles.

Pride Flag Quilt Top

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH EVERYBODY!!! I recently finished this pride flag quilt top, which I'll be displaying at my local pride event next week!

I wanted each block to be different and eye catching in its own way, so that you don't get bored looking at bland stripes. This project is a labor of love. I did the math on piecing nearly every block, save for the house block on the bottom right corner. That came from a book. I went through quite a struggle doing all the math to make the blocks that are split diagonally by color. Those were the ones that took me the longest to get through. The regular solid color rainbow blocks? I flew through those in two days, lol!

My partner's grand mother who is VERY conservative keeps asking what kind of quilt I want. Apparently it is a sign I have been accepted into the family to receive a quilt. And now I want to ask for it to look like this sooooo bad, but I'm pretty sure if I did she wouldn't want to make me a quilt anymore.

Me instantly back to a little over a decade ago when my Nanny (may she rest in peace) Montgomery, Alabama native her whole life. Tried to set me up with my cousin (2nd cousin, but not all that much better) because I had come out as a lesbian (I'm not. I now identify as a nonbinary biromantic asexual [what a mouthful!]) and it was some how better that I would be dating my own blood rather than another woman.

I think that might be one of the reasons for the incest jokes. And I feel like I should be allowed to mock my own lived experience however I want.
