I know you posted something about having both celebrations in Toronto and Bangladesh for your wedding. I'm in the same boat as you, but I decided to have a small nikkah here, as least expensive as possible at a mosque, and then the holud, a "fake" wedding and then the reception in Bangladesh. I figured it would not only cost less for me, personally but I'll be able get married in front of all my relatives. Also getting all my bridal stuff from Bangladesh, so much cheaper! :)
