I am getting tired of people saying we should leave them alone. They made their marketing brand from people wanting to know their every move–The media makes money off them true–but the artists make way more by way of merchandising, free advertising for movies/albums, swag given to them from designers wanting to get them to wear their clothes etc. If they truly wanted to be left alone they would be.. Many stars are able to, take Adele, millions of followers on twitter but you don’t see her all over the pages of mags because she doesn’t court the paps. Regarding the Rhode Island pics, I read that they have very strict  laws regarding privacy–so if someone was to take pics they would have needed authorization from Taylor/Tom to be able to profit off them etc. which leaves me to believe they were staged.(who knows for sure as no one is going to come out and confirm it lol)  They may need security because they are high profile, just like politicians, but they knew that going in. So here we lay -on Tumblr drooling for more pics or stories and getting upset when the story doesn’t follow our own fanfic.

That presumes that it is the same (the status quo, the laws, the culture, the life experiences of one individual in the same “category”, anything and everything... I think there’s a latin term in economics that is on the tip of my tongue but it’s been too long since I’ve had to remember it) everywhere. And, it’s not. And, I’m sorry but he is still relatively an unknown or was quite before Marvel came along and he wasn’t born into this culture and life with a silver spoon in his mouth and cost of living in the United Kingdom as I understand it, especially in some parts, (I used to know an ex-cop who migrated and was taking the LLB External programme, how I met him, and that’s with the University of London which sounds extremely posh and fancy but being an external course it was actually really a correspondence course and at the time I think there were far more students sitting for those papers (it’s all on the final paper by the way and the invigilators and ones marking the exams are remote in London or wherever and do not know the student’s track record or anything, you are graded on the merits of your answer on that paper which is not a take home paper and at the time that I sat for it ...gr...I hate that this is showing some of my history but nevermind, I’m not a lawyer by the way but I’m speaking off the cuff a little and want to try and maybe interject a little bit of... awareness that it’s a big big world and just because someone is different from you but looks the same or like how you’d expect from/of whatever stereotype or background you think you know that they are from... things may be very different from what you might assume. 

I don’t think Tom had any idea or clue what he was getting into of this big show and HEY AMERICA! when he signed on for this, [edited midway into the writing of this to add:] I think things are moving are moving a little too fast and culture shock may be happening and presumptions and assumptions are perhaps flying a little in some parts and some may be making little jumps of jumping to some conclusions perhaps? I don’t know. I’m speculating a lot here. I know and you can tell, but anyway here is what I think.

I’m just saying and speaking from... my honest self and the sense I’m getting from him from whatever evidence and details and my own personal bias I’m sure comes into play but how can it not? I would like to reserve judgment until I know for sure? But... I don’t know. I just feel a little sad for him and how it seems he’s being treated on the twitter and blogo- and tumblrsphere.

Oh, and yeah, international laws, and laws across countries... not necessarily the same in all respects. Laws (some? At least?) can actually be said to be... social/cultural constructs, though there is of course a rule of law / interpretation of law that is I think called Natural Law or something (it may be seen as the wide interpretation of a statue rather than a narrow one which is more strict/narrow/to the letter) and culturally come about. 

...Wow, okay, I’m sorry if any of that was confusing or lost cohesion/comprehension. I should really take a look at this long text wall post of mine again later (I think I might actually need to print it and hack away at it with a pen/pencil) to make it a bit more.. tumblr length friendly and get back the comprehensive flow of it in text because it really is stream of consciousness thought freewriting and that doesn’t quite always translate well to being read. >_< My apologies for all that and the length.

Oh wow

How Tumblr has changed. lol. 

I’m not new to tumblr... kind of semi-savvy with it I suppose you might say and kind of adaptable (who knew? I certainly didn’t, lol) and stuff but I dropoff of Tumblr / disappear and AVOID it like the plague for... lets say a long period of time, a lot, to the point where whenever I come back it’s always a struggle and new adjustment, lol, because of changes. And I avoid(ed)/went away a lot because mostly I did not want spoilers in my view and it really reminds me too much of FBnewsfeed as it is now but lacks Any sort of Lists that Twitter allowed for and there was no tweetdeck or anything for it... it was also no pinterest. 

Basically, it was like (I described it as) a single faucet open tap that you could not close off and it became like a waterfall. xD There was no way to mitigate it or stop the flood and it was difficult to follow / see everything / keep up with the tumblrs followed at all / 100% and then there’s the reblogging and... well, nevermind. (ew, I sound like an... I know what you mean, but still, this is a great time and place to be in when there are so many great and wonderful people in the world and it’s like we’re all waking up and finding each other online, making connections (not knowing that that was what we were doing), commiserating over drinks / sharing secrets and sharing enthusiasm and common interests. It’s just that... well not everyone remembers to be nice and/or kind (remember btw folk, Ellen Degeneres: Be Kind. And I think I misspelt her name, sorry, the quote that popped into my mind first actually was not Ellen’s but if I mention the other one first without context no one will know what I mean or who I’m referencing so... that will need a post and a link, heh, but the quote is that... he said... ok fine I can’t remember the name but I loved his “comics” (Pictures, really, but this was like pre-tumblr but post-cyberspace / in the time of online newspapers existing / newspapers were beginning to be real internet savvy / have an e-site version) in the San Francisco Gate newspaper I think it was, and the “comic” is very... Not Comic-ish / It’s not a comic. It’s called I think All Over Coffee, the quotes I believe are either personal quotes and musings of the artist or stuff/lines that he’s come across that he likes. And the art is lovely. I’ve used them as wallpaper on my desktop before / back in the day when I had an iMac, lol, don’t envy me, it’s not... it’s a really old iMac, we took it in to see if we could revive it and discovered it’s more or less considered vintage/antique which basically means that they CAN bring it to tech support and see what can be done but more than likely the necessary parts to replace whatever blew or died or whatnot would cost more than the cost of a newer better computer and would not be worth it, or even more likely, I’d have to get what American Pickers’ Mike and Fritz... lol, I’m sorry, I would call him Mike W. but I remember the name phonetically and can’t remember if it is one o’s or two and d an e at the end or not and I’m a bit too distracted to check (multitasking) I think Mike Wolfe. (Wolfe boy!) and since I used that I’ll add Frank Fritz (as in for the mention, to be fair; also on the show is Dani[elle] D. and I cannot remember the name of the new girl they hired for the Nashville store but I think it’s all amazing and they’re great. + I have somewhat eclectic tastes in shows so some of my interests and references may seem a bit... um... obscure? Varied interests, I like a lot of things, oki? And... dirt poor so don’t think that having an iMac puts me in that earning wage/price--INCOME, that’s the word. I’m not in the high/upper/middle-class earning bracket, not by a long shot even. ^^; Plese try to avoid jumping to conclusions, making presumptions, and flat out being rude because we can all have a bad day, we can all be snippy at times, and: “Be Kind. For everyone is fighting their own battle/s.” --THERE. *feeling accomplished to a disproportionate degree, lol* I emote in between asterisks which are **** these, because of my (somewhat retro/Classic...erm no, that’s giving an even Worse / more misleading image, lol, um... I’m a classic adventure gamer! Sierra, LucasArts -- back then there were LucasArt games, now I think the main monopoly/bigname/mainstream are like SquareENIX, Electronic Games.. that does not look right like the right acronym... um... “EA Sports! It’s in the Game” so... A... Electronic Arts?, Turbine, Blizzard, those kinds of big fish sort of gaming companies didn’t exist back in the classic/gold age of Adventure Gaming, and now we have great things like GOG.com gaming and Steam and oh hey look up Phoenix Online and The Silver Lining! If you’re at all interested in what sort of games _I_ like to play when I say adventure games, and I love what Odd Gentlemen are doing with King’s Quest 2015 but I have only played the first chapter because it was free for PSN+ one month and I earn / make my wages in pennies at the moment, money is unfortunately a bit tight for me right now but I’m good! Please, um, don’t jump the gun or to any conclusions there or on that either! ...Yow(ch) this got hijacked by a really long tangent. I really do and truly honestly think I’m going to blame Hiddleslysee-- HiddleslyDEE <vbg> my fast typing fingers and brain voice / you know when you think words inside your head? / internal monologue/voice got into a little... fingers typed s but I wanted d, I think it was a simply one key to the left typo on my touch key typing--I’m on a qwerty--the qwerty for my laptop by and by / by the way (by and by is acceptable! but it tripped my good old american friend once when he first saw it and thought YES! She made a mistake! It’s not by and by it’s by the way. HA! and then he looked it up later because something was niggling at him and found that it Is acceptable and informal but not a misspell -- oh man I’m snerking so much because ladymysti is a wizard and never was a princess... XD so so badly and I’m going to regret this so much / #Iregretitalready/Now -- or a ) gaming background mostly and they weren’t used as censorship icons at first).

Hmm, I type phonetically sometimes / in chat and informal writing/chatting sometimes, just to be clear because this has confused many a poor soul who does not know me well enough to know that, lol. And what is this-- actually no, I can't pull that off, least not right now, I'm not Hiddleston and I really want to be clear and not confusing in this post so I'll reserve all Hiddling (btw: [am] NOT HIDDLESTON! ...or am I? (okay, I couldn't help myself, but I blame a lot of factors contributing to my not being able to keep my wry and cheek in check. I really am not Hiddles though but: okay here's to the fun: I wonder if Loki'd hasn't decided that I should be channeling HIDDLESLOKI if that makes any sense.
