The world is being killed and unless drastic change happens now, we’re going to die right along with it. I really believe that what we’re witnessing is a worldwide spiritual crisis. What’s happening outside in the world is a reflection of what is happening inside people. As within, so without. The world is in turmoil because the people are in turmoil. There is no harmony and so the system is breaking down. We’re on the brink of complete catastrophy.
Everything about our culture is unsustainable, inhumane and disconnected from reality. We’re living like we have infinite resources, we’re destroying the natural world, we’ve enslaved the animal kingdom as a resource to be exploited and we do nothing to stop governments and corporations from waging endless wars for power, profit and limited resources. Nobody is truely happy anymore. Everybody is sad, over-worked, unhealthy, lost, wasting their potential and living lives of drudgery without real meaning in order to support a system that doesn’t fucking work for the people yet keeps the rich, rich. Many have lost their connection to the mystery of existence, to themselves, to the rest of humanity and to the natural world. Nobody knows what spirituality is anymore. The matirealist viewpoint is running rampant and uncontrolled as people seek new ways to, in vain, fill a spiritual void. We need to own less and do more, work less and become more. We need to simplify our lives and realise that true happiness comes from within us, not from something we can buy or own. We need to create a fairer system for all humanity, with equal distribution of wealth and resources. We need to refocus our collective minds towards creating sustainable and clean energy sources instead of pumping trillions into war and allowing the rich to hoard 99% of the entire worlds wealth. There’s enough for everyone on earth to live peaceful, happy and meaningful lives for a little time yet, but here we are at this moment ignoring the fact that the earth resources are almost depleted while at the same time creating and and not taking responsibility for the largest humanitarian crisis to happen on earth since world war 2.
