Mr.A? Now who on earth is that?

I'm glad you asked! Briefly speaking, Mr.A is an au about pjo!Apollo post-Trials of Apollo, in which Apollo becomes a school history teacher in the school Meg studies at. Shenanigans ensue with a side thing of the mist falling but you know we're gonna ignore that for now

Most of these don't really make much sense, am I missing something?

Yep, probably! A lot of the headcannons and pretty much everything we mention on this blog requires at least some level of context, which is kinda hard to get if you weren't there while that exact discussion happened in the toa discord. For example- the blog title. "I know what vaccines are, JACOB" is about this one student that Mr.A hates in his class. Make more sense now?

So yeah, some stuff might not really make much sense, but we'll try to explain it as best as possible as we go along!

✨halloween✨

ok so halloween is The major turning point in this au for no particular reason, so here’s a timeline/list of events and occurrences on and leading up to halloween!

jacob has been having a bit a crisis recently. he’s keeping a little notebook in his pocket containing a funny little list of weird goings on around mr.a, because he is rightfully suspicious (and a smidge clearsighted). he’s realized something but he doesn’t know what yet, so he’s just grappling with the idea that how he perceived religion his whole life might be wrong

this continues until HALLOWEEN during which many, many things happen

mr.a comes to school as a greek god! and well, that’s a little weird cause that costume is awfully revealing for a teacher (you can see his titty 👀) but idk you do you i guess

people are incredibly attracted to this teacher. like that is not human levels of attractiveness. he is Cosmically attractive.

there’s a pair of twins that have also come to school dressed as apollo and artemis (a nice siblings paired costume!) and mr.a just. physically cannot look at them.

he’s grumbling that they are spreading misinformation and that “poor excuse for a sun god” is not acting like the real thing. jacob is only starting to realize what that means, but in the meantime, he’s too scared to ask.

there is a chariot in the parking lot. with horses. someone asks about the horses, and mr.a responds with “oh don’t worry about them, they’re very well behaved” just as one or both of said horses burst into flames

jacob sits in the background, furiously scribbling in his funny little notebook with his silly little list, and finally comes to the (of course very obvious) conclusion that “oh. oh no. mr.a is a literal god.”

that night mr.a makes his first twitter post

jacob wakes up in a cold sweat and texts his friends group chat that they must make a club called “what the f*ck is mr.a”

- so at first the lessons start off pretty normal, right?

- Mr. A’s mixing up his centuries, Jacob’s throwing around his conspiracy theories to anyone who’ll listen, and Meg’s being Meg

- but about two weeks into the whole online school thing, Mr. A makes some particularly corny pun about their history topic and Meg reaches her limit

- the next thing any of the other students in the class know, she’s left her own screen and appeared in the background of Mr. A’s camera, hitting him on the head with a pillow

- and suddenly the fact that both Mr. A and Meg McCaffrey have matching backgrounds makes sense, and one of the students turns on their mike to ask the question everyone’s wondering:

- “um, sir? Mr. A? are you and Meg quarantining together?”

- Mr. A refuses to answer this, and simply grabs the pillow out of Meg’s hands with a muttered retort that makes her laugh

- they both then seem to disappear from sight of the camera and appear in front of Meg’s

- (Jacob swears up and down that they teleported)

- one time Meg’s unicorn appears in the background of her camera

- she proceeds to pet him for the rest of the lesson, completely ignoring Mr. A’s requests for her to “please shut [her] horse back in the stable it came from and pay attention to [his] lesson about the Renaissance”
