Back in their sixth year, the Sorting Ceremony was held as usual. This time, Gynger was finally able to witness the full ceremony as an upperclassman observer. She recalled how, as a fifth-year, she had been slightly older than most newcomers—and due to an accident on the way to school, she'd arrived just as the ceremony was ending. She never got the chance to properly watch the Sorting process that year. But now, she could.
Professor Weasley led the tiny first-years slowly into the Great Hall. The children, staring up at the enchanted ceiling, wore identical expressions of amazement and joy. Ah, the ceiling—Gynger remembered she hadn’t even noticed it that day. She had arrived far too late, and back then, her only thought was to get through the ceremony quickly—especially since Headmaster Black had looked particularly displeased by her tardiness.
Gynger found herself staring at the Great Hall’s half-open door, lost in thought. Suddenly, a small head peeked through the gap—it was… Professor Fig? Gynger blinked. That tiny figure was trying to sneak a glance into the hall. Headmaster Black seemed to spot the old man’s suspicious behavior and strode toward the entrance, clearly annoyed.
Outside, Professor Fig gently patted the red-haired girl on the shoulder, reassuring her. “We may be a little late, but from this day forward, you’re a Hogwarts student,” he said warmly, smiling at her before nodding for her to go in. The white-haired little man watched as the girl followed the headmaster into the hall—then, his gaze met that of the sixth-year Gynger, sitting among the students.
He smiled.

Hogtober is back for 2025 !
It is with great pleasure that I announce the return of the famous Hogtober!
You can't imagine how excited I am to try the challenge again this year, but in a different format.
Knowing that I still have my job to do, it was difficult for me last year to really do everything I wanted to do, even though I was actually drawing late into the night after work. So, I rethought the format and this one, on a weekly basis, would be a first experience!

The rules are simple:
Artists, photographers, videographers and writers are welcome to participate in this challenge, which has been designed for everyone.
5 themes will be proposed each week.
These are optional themes: this means that you can choose to do just one theme per week, or choose as many themes as you like and create something for each theme each week. Alternatively, you can combine themes to create a single piece of work per week, such as combining Nerida with Black Lake for example.
You are completely free to do whatever you want!
And this year, the challenge will also be organised by @hogwarts-legazine.❤️It will be published too on the Hogwarts Legazine tumblr.
So don't hesitate to use the hashtag #hogtober2025 to share your creations, and I'll see you on 1st October to start the challenge. And also, if you have any questions, you can come to ask me !

Rewatched the trailer for the 500th time because I am not normal, not calm, not stable, and I love him so much 🥺
But I got to thinking.
This would be a kindled scene, and kindled scenes don't typically appear until a few chapters into the myth. Before that, the LI and MC would obviously have some initial interactions and bonding moments.
What if by this point, they are bonded already, but whoever is controlling him had, so to speak, "factory reset" him to follow his original programming and eliminate her. We do get these voiceovers early in the trailer shortly before this kindled scene:
Note it says "repair A-01". It's highly probable that his memories of her were "extracted" and wiped clean. Any feelings he had for her up to this moment are gone, and even any personality traits he developed would be gone. He's been reset to literally a machine that only knows its programming and has lost all sentience.
She tries to speak to him and break him out of this state even if in her mind, it might seem impossible. And then, somehow, he does remember her enough to consciously try to override his own programming, hence: "Command rejected."
The last shot of them sitting side-by-side could just be them comforting one another after that intense traumatizing moment. The voiceover: "I always wanted to be in the same world as you... Instead of just watching you... And imagining you..." could be something he had said earlier in the myth before this scene; possibly even during an initial meeting in a nonhostile environment.
[Anyway....trailers are never as they seem. Scenes can be manipulated and rearranged in order. And significant lines can also be used over other scenes, so this is why I don't want to take the scenes as they are. All of Sylus' trailers have taught me this lmaooo 🙂]
