He is not a germophobe! NOW I do think Sakusa is big on cleaning because he is big on his health... Sakusa has a more significant fear of crowds.

He is significant about taking care of one's body and not making irresponsible decisions. He doesn’t like careless or unprepared people.

Sakusa is about routine and habits. He is known to finish what he starts. That’s usually why he continues and ends anything, and honestly, why he CONTINUED to play volleyball till he met Ushijima and was inspired to “get good.”

Sakusa is a lot of Kita but does his mythological process of things for different reasons.

More examples on health stuff. He even has a whole conversation with his caption in high school about how sakusa had to learn, and admit just cause you to take care of your body and are cautious, you can still get hurt and also NOT accomplish your dream. Furudate actually Sakusa has a bigger fear of crowds....it’s probably why he didn’t ride with the rest of the team.

There was another new comic where Furudate talks about it more in some new books. Sakusa is just more likely to say if something is nasty due to his blunt personality.
