Practicing a 'traditional comic book' art style while drawing a character idea I had. Used this base since I didn't feel like figuring out a pose for practice art: https://www.deviantart.com/krystalheartbases/art/Alolan-Vulpix-Base-847694485

Mcfuckin hold on a goddamn second here-
Meadow from my ask blog, but as a Chikn Nuggit character. Felt like it didn't fit the ask blog so posting it to my personal account.

Looking for advice from pros
I need some advice from professional comic artists: how do you keep perfectionism from burning you out? I've been doing comics for a bit now on my other accounts, but I keep burning out because I keep going for stuff like lineless backgrounds with a lot of detail and such.
I keep trying to explore simpler art styles that are easier/quicker to work on to keep from burning out but every time my brain keeps pushing me back to lineless. I keep feeling like simpler styles are 'low effort' or 'not up to my current ability/standards', and like I'm just being lazy, despite everyone telling me it looks fine... How do you silence that voice/force yourself to acknowledge that simpler styles can look just as good as complex ones? If I wanna continue doing comics, I need to let myself get comfortable with easier styles, which I haven' been able to successfully do yet...
Been a while since I made a fake screenshot. Imagine the alternate timeline where Penelope was made for Odorable-Kitty.
