@tomatowine
She had seen that look in his eyes before, in the eyes of other people. Other men, specifically. It was flattering, to say the least, but there was a level of uncertainty when it came to accepting unspoken compliments. How was she to know if the male was not another Pan? He did not seem like he was, but one could never be sure. “A pleasure to meet you, Toma.” The goddess said graciously. But she did not give him her name just yet. It was a game she still enjoyed playing despite having changed so much. “You are not all mortal.” Aphrodite stated, her ocean eyes still curious. It was as if she knew him, she could guess what he would be like. “What is your linage?” The goddess asked, her slender fingers moving up to run through her dark curls, winding them about as she watched him.
The pleasure is all mine. {`he ensured as he gave a slight bow of his head in greeting. while the identity of the woman remained a mystery, her presence did not. he didn't need to know her name to sense the strength of her unspoken authority, but he did need to give it some more thought before he understood just were it came from. despite his currently active mind a small smirk tugged at the corner of his lips at the leading question. that was all he needed to hear to know that his intuition wasn't playing a prank on him. the woman was out of this world in one way or the other, and so was her beauty } That's an accurate observation which in return should mean that you're not mortal at all, correct? {`the smirk settled into a soft smile, and by now his genuine curiosity was completely evident in the depths of his eyes } I'm a child of Dionysus.
"I need a hug."
{`it had been close to a year since he had last seen the god, and no matter how much he wrecked his head trying to remember, he could only think back to one moment that he had actually called him by the truest, and most appropriate term — father. while the man in front of him had seemingly stayed the same, he himself had changed a whole lost since they last met, and of course there was this underlying nervousness simmering through his mind at the mere thought. would his father be proud of the man he had become? not that he’d been anything but a complete wreck the duration of their relationship. regardless he opened his arms in a physical invitation, and despite seeing him for the first time in a long while it felt just like yesterday, in which the corner of his lips tugged into a small smile while his glittering eyes spoke volumes } Then you’ve come to the right place.
[/She'd been seen, even cloaked in mist-- no mere mortal would have been able see through past a rousse and so she cautiously approached him. His request was not a strange one for there was power to be gained when a god's true name was given] Methe [/drunkness--literally translated from the greek-- she'd muttered in an enchant towards him]]
{`the few approaching steps was a small victory in itself, mostly because he couldn't lure out information that wasn't ready to be given. but upon seeing that the woman refrained from leaving him he felt a sense of relief, even if he had offered a slight ultimatum. her name for his silence. his lips tugged into a small, albeit soft, smile at the revelation } I should've known as much. {`the curious glint in his eyes was still evident, but despite questions lingering at the tip of his tongue he failed to put them into actual words. he had been deprived of his immortal heritage for far too long } While it may be of no importance to someone such as yourself, I'm honored to meet you as a fellow child of Dionysus.
"I think it’s broken.”
{`to avoid a collision otherwise waiting to happen as he was mid-motion to round the corner of the street he did successfully manage to steer clear from the woman during her sudden appearance, but instead he leaned a bit too heavily onto the outer post that, in turn, supported the roof above the open-air cafe. while it didn’t snap in half, it did give off a vicious cracking sound, and the woman’s voice seemed to confirm his suspicion as he reached out to carefully run slender fingers across what felt like a fine crack } I think you’re right. {`a lopsided smile was playing across his lips as he tried to decide where to go from there, and while he usually didn’t flaunt his powers in front of strange eyes he slowly backed up towards the post and held it behind his back. when he was sure that noone but the woman in front of him was watching he let small vines wind themselves around the post, tightly nestling together to hide the crack while still coming off as a natural addition to the already aesthetic design of the outdoor dining area } But that’s nothing a touch of magic can’t conceal.
"This stays between us."
{`there was a moment of silence as he looked upon the woman dressed in the most tasteful of gowns, eyes finding delight in tracing hints of gold and vines along her subconsciously familiar features. despite being situated in the middle of the street it took him a second or two to understand that those around him didn’t see the same image that he saw. it was curious, really, but by time he had stopped to question things only to find them intriguing instead, and so he managed a casual now as a soft smile came to adorn his lips } If that’s what you want. {`their slight similarity in ancestry wasn’t hard to miss, but occurrences such as these had been so rare and so few, so he didn’t know how to properly handle them. it had been a struggle in itself to find a way to relate to his father } So long as I’m still allowed to ask for your immortal name. {`admittedly they were still in the bustling street, but he made sure to keep his voice on a level where eavesdropping wasn’t an option }

The stranger standing before her was, well, nothing less than a stranger. He did not look familiar to her, yet there was something in the way that he held himself-his aura, if you will- that suggested that she might. Aphrodite tilted her head to the side, watching the male carefully. “And who might you be?”
{`dark eyes were gazing calmly at the woman in front of him, and the beauty which she held was mesmerizing to say the least. he had seen a lot of beautiful beings through the years, almost to the point where he couldn't quite grasp what the gorgeous features were rather than assuming that he simply had a keen sense of what he acknowledged as just that -- beauty } Ikuta Toma is the name. And you, miss? {`he spoke with a smile as slight curiosity lingered in his eyes. it was impossible for him to describe why, but he felt a subconscious pull towards the woman in front of him, and that admittedly made him naturally interested in the seemingly random encounter he had found himself in because regardless of the situation, such a thing didn't happen all too often. not in later days, at least }
The younger didn’t hesitate to accept the other’s offer and hug him as his smile turned into a bright grin. “Seems like it, hm?” He pulled back to look at the other. “I’ve been good. What about yourself? Did anything interesting happen since we’ve last time seen each other? Did you meet Dad?” Yongguk knew that it wasn’t really the best thing to ask the other a bunch of questions at once but he just couldn’t help it. He was curious about the other, not only because it had been a long time since they’d last seen each other, but also because they didn’t know much about each other in first place either, so this could be a great chance to find out more about the older.
{`he gave the man in his arms a generous squeeze before letting go, taking his sweet time to memorize everything about his current appearance. he looked more mature -- or as mature as he could possibly look } I've been thriving, believe it or not. {`bansin had been both a blessing and a curse to him. moros tore him down in ways he could've never expect, but he also made precious friends. friends he unfortunately didn't know the whereabouts now, as well as the majority of his siblings -- but then there was yongguk } I wouldn't know about interesting, but I've gone back to what I did before Bansin, minus the entire 'anti-social' ordeal. That's right, how's life in Bansin treating you? {`at the mention of dionysus he shook his head with a smile } Not yet, no. I haven't seen the old geezer since I left, so it's been a while. Do you know how he is? {`while he completely relished the entire situation he knew fully well that they were standing in the middle of the street, and for something so precious as this reunion was he definitely felt like sitting down for an actual talk } Are you on a schedule, or would you like to sit down somewhere?
Well opening up and trusting someone, that’s how you give them the tools. you let them in and give them and the knife to stab you in the back whenever they see fit, most people only care about them selfs and don’t see the outcome on how they can hurt the people around them, as in a mother leaving her child so she can be happy. not even one second thinking of how the child’s life will be. You see will live in a beautiful lie, where people think demons and devils are the true evil in this world but those are just beautiful lies hiding the truth, the biggest evil around is us, humans. we are the beautiful lie hiding in the lies of this world- she nods feeling a bit philosophic and shakes her head opening the door to the sushi place for him- oh i’m sorry for all that..
{`he listened in silence to the sliver of her mind that was offered, taking it all in with great interest despite the fact that their opinions on the matter differed somewhat. but as far as he was concerned he had learned to appreciate an opinion for what it was -- a window to someone's soul. he smiled as he went inside behind her and let the door close shut } Don't feel obliged to apologize for speaking your mind in my presence. {`he headed towards the queue who held a few people in front of them before it was their turn to order } You can look at it like this, too. If someone disrespects you in any shape or form, that says more about them than you. They are the ones who made a huge mistake. You can't control other people's actions, but you can control how you react. You can decide to not let betrayal break you if you can sympathize with the fact that the betrayed isn't the culprit. Betrayal isn't your fault, and you should never let something that isn't your fault damage your spirit. {`by the time he finished that input of his they were first in line, and so he let yejin order before doing so as well once she was done }
Japanese. Ah that’s interesting. // her tone conveyed the intrigue she possessed as she searched her extensive vocab. it’s familiar as a word but as a name… Toma. interval. odd name but she can’t tell whether it suits because she doesn’t know the male in front of her well enough; Hmmm. Truthfully, I like Lydia a little better. When it’s pronounced right of course. //nods slowly, not used being asked her preference; But like I say, it doesn’t really matter— //quickly brushes the subject aside with a wave of her hand; Anyway, Japan. Beautiful place.
Lydia it is, then. {`he confirmed, easily adapting the pronunciation she personally used in order to utter her name in a preferred way. a name was as much of an identity as a soul was, and he wanted to do it justice } Do you often suffer through mispronunciations? {`he smiled, feeling like he had to fit that final question in before the subject was abandoned completely } It is a beautiful place, indeed. I just wish I had more reasons to travel there. {`with a slight pause he reached up to brush a strand of black hair out of his eyes as it stubbornly fell down } This may be an intrusive question to some I've noticed, but what do you do for a living?
strangers never really scared me i would love the company - grins and drags him with herself- and i do crave some sashimi if you don’t mind it that is. we can eat something else- nods and looks around- the people that should scare you are the ones closes to you, they are the people knowing how to break you.
You and me both. {`the young woman's enthusiasm was admirable, and he didn't particularly mind to succumb to her whirlwind-ways } Sashimi sounds absolutely delicious. I've got no objections whatsoever. {`once the type of food was settled he followed in her footsteps, curious to see what her go-to place was in terms of sashimi. the curve of his lips turned into a slight smirk at what followed } That's definitely a truth applicable to most. But for someone to break you, you need to allow them such power in the first place. {`he pressed the pad of his index finger against his temple } It's all in here. Give someone the tools to destroy you and they most certainly will.
usually eat, sing or fuck..tho i have been singing all day and food isn’t just as fun when your alone, so why don’t you join me for a bite? - grins- i promise to not bite you, if you don’t ask for it that it~- she chuckles and shakes her head fixing her hair some-
It's good to hear that you've got a firm grip on your priorities, and they seem very sound. {`he grinned and let his hands slide into the pockets of his pants } I'd love to tag along if you've got a few minutes to spare for a stranger such as myself. {`with a chuckle he waited for the woman to decide the direction in which they would head } What's on the menu today?
A small, confused frown was visible on the demigod's face as he approached his brother. "Toma?" He arched a brow as his expression changed and his lips spread into his usual, wide smile.
{`for something that had been lost for almost a year, memories sure made it seem like yesterday. as soon as his eyes fell upon the familiar figure a soft grin spread across his lips — how could he forget? } The one and only. {`he chuckled in husky tones, exhilarated by the entire situation. the duration of time he spent in bansin had been a roller coaster of everything, and unfortunately he felt like he didn’t manage to connect with his siblings in a way that he desired. luckily he seemed to be given a second chance to do so with one of them. he held his arms out in an invitation to hug it out in a greeting } I may not have seen you in quite some time, but it just goes to show that that grin never changes. How have you been?
lvds replied to your post:
Lydia. //she tilted her head due to the surprising properness in which he spoke; But er, most people just call me Dia. Since it’s kinda easier. What’s your name?
{`he processed the information with a slightly absentminded nod, a habit of his more than anything else } While both makes your visage and energy alike justice, what do you prefer to be called -- Lydia or Dia? {`he was all for nicknames and even had a few himself, but he found it more important to decide upon something as important as what to call someone else with them in mind rather than making thins unnecessarily lazy -- it was easy to get stuck in patterns that was born on a whim. regardless he kept the smile adorning his lips } The name's Toma. Ikuta Toma.
