This took me way longer than it was supposed to, but I'm incredibly happy with how it turned out.

The Metal Slug 3 character select screen is one of my favorites of all time, since I've always been big on goofy facial expressions, so it was perfect inspiration for practicing unorthodox faces.

I've been staring at these faces long enough I kind of got my own interpretation of them...

Tangle's trying really hard to look badass for the photo-shoot.

Whisper wasn't ready/got startled by the camera flash/is in the very early stages of a sneeze.

Lanolin is trying to keep her composure while Tangle honks a rubber chicken right next to her ear.

Surge is high. She's just high. Don't know what substances she got her hands on or how but she's very much high.

So, me, @tominique-aomi and our other friend whomst doesn't have Tumblr created this beautiful couple! Meet Amy's parents

Zen Rose the Japanese Shrew Mole! A laid back, hippie-esque with a love of baking [quite opposite of the Japanese businessman, his wife reverses that role. she's the head of the house :3]

and his loving, strongheaded, good-spirited wife

Betty Rose! Legendary hammer wielder and an amazingly strong mother who passed the Piko Piko Hammer to her only daughter, Amelia "Amy" Rose.

In this AU, the reason Amy struggles to recognize people apart is due to bad eyesight, hence where we got the species choice for Zen! Also, the hammer is passed down to females in the family! It's basically like Star Butterfly's wand changing with each user!

Also, the gems on their gloves/cuffs are their promise gems to each other, Zen found them one day and saved them for his future partner, neither dare take them off, they love each other to death.
