the library was empty aside from you. i mean, it was 5pm already so not surprised at all.
the peaceful quiet was interrupted when the door swung open, slamming hard against the wall. you nearly shat your pants. turning around, you saw the person you least expected to see in the library after school, it was jake.
he met your eyes and the corners of his lips turned up into a sweet smile that didnโt quite reach his eyes. jake nodded at you before making a beeline towards the desk you were sat in.
โhi yn, um you probably didnโt expect to be here but anyways, i was wondering if you had notes for biology? i have an exam next weekโ he explained, sitting on the plush chair beside you. jake, as in sim jake, the notorious fuck boy who never does anything about his grades, asking you for notes? yeah, something isnโt right.

he looked at you like you had just said the most obnoxious thing in the world. either way, he reached for his phone.
after successfully typing jakeโs number on your phone, which now sounded like an actual obnoxious thing, you checked that it was the right number and quickly sent the notes to him.

jake sim is a really distinct person, yet there was something that was pulling you towards him. either itโs his smile, or his hair or even just his laugh, something was so charming about him. you quickly brushed the thought off and gathered your books, before hearing your phone buzz on the table. you turned the phone around to read the contact name, aaand it was jake.

the hallways looked abandoned, empty, yet the silence felt comforting. the only sound was the humming of the lamp above and the light noise of chatter from the classrooms. you checked the time. 8:48. shit. first of all, you were already late, and you also had to walk to the complete other side of the school.
brushing past the lockers, you noticed someone sitting on one of the benches in the hallway. the boy had black hair and curios cat eyes. his head turned to you, locking eyes with you. it was jungwon.
jungwon was just an ordinary student you would see in the daily. you looked away from his eyes, but he didnโt. he stayed still, looking at you while you walked past him.

the next day, while you were walking to class with yunjin, you saw jungwon again. he was sitting on the same bench, same posture. you were sure that his hair was probably the exact same way. oh, and the look. he was looking again.

the class began, and you could feel the burning stare on your head. from your peripheral vision you could see that his head was turned your way. seriously, what is his problem?
you waited until the teacher assigned work to ask him about it.

the cool autumn wind was blowing through the air, leafs scraping against the pavement. your hair was blowing in the wind, which made you notice that it wasnโt sticking to your lips. after that thought, you began to complain about your lips feeling a bit dry.
reaching into your pocket, you noticed the most essential item of your life was missing, your sweet strawberry lip balm. almost like heeseung could read your mind, the same second he pulls out a strawberry lip balm.

jay had always been a simple man when it came to socks. but recently, you had been catching him wearing fuzzier and cuter socks. you always had a habit of only wearing cute socks and when summer ended, you would introduce your fuzzy socks again.
the movie night was just starting, a small fort made out of blankets was already made and popcorn was popping in the microwave. the only thing was missing was jay. later, he emerged from the bedroom dressed in socks that suspiciously looked too much like yours, that you had ordered last winter.

then, sunghoon reached into his pocket, pulling out a small, mini black hairbrush along with a tiny mirror, and simply asked you if you needed to brush.

now what surprised you the most, was that he pulled out a small, black crossbody bag and gave it to you.
