40 Times I fell in love with Ron Weasley
1. When Ron sat with Harry on the Hogwarts express and the two began a friendship that would last for a lifetime.
2. When Ron wrote home to his mum that Harry wasn’t expecting any Christmas presents because he knew that even though Harry and Mrs Weasley hadn’t properly met each other, his mum already cared deeply about Harry.
3. When Ron was the only person who stood by Harry when he lost 50 house points for sneaking Norbert out of the castle, as well as almost every other time the school turned against Harry.
4. When Ron bravely went with Harry through the trapdoor to stop Snape from stealing the Philosopher’s Stone even though he was only 12.
5. When Ron sacrificed himself in the chess game so that Harry and Hermione could go on.
6. When Ron didn’t hear from his friend for over a month, so he helped his brothers steal his dad’s flying car and fly across the country to rescue Harry because he knew the Dursley’s wouldn’t be treating him right.
7. When he happily and graciously welcomed Harry into his family, even though he already felt overshadowed by his siblings.
8. When he fiercely defended Hermione when Malfoy called her a mudblood at the age of 12.
9. When he faced his greatest fear by following the spiders into the forbidden forest to try to figure out who and what was attacking muggle-borns.
10. When he went with Harry into the chamber of secrets, not only because he was Harry’s friend, but because he loved his sister and was willing to face what was in the chamber to bring her back safely.
11. When he signed up to stay at Hogwarts over Christmas so his best friend wouldn’t be alone on Christmas.
12. When he showed fierce and protective concern for his friend when they heard that Sirius was Harry’s godfather and betrayed his parents.

14. When he finally realized the stress Hermione had been under and completely took over with the studying for Buckbeak’s appeal.

16. When he took Scabbers’ true identity as “a personal insult” and felt extremely guilty about having unknowingly harboured the man who had betrayed Harry’s family to Voldemort.
17. When Ron knew that Harry was depressed about what happened with Sirius and having to go back to the Dursley’s and tried to cheer him up by inviting him to the world cup.
18. When Ron showed subtle concern for Hermione while Death Eaters were on the rampage after the Quidditch World Cup because he knew she was in more danger than he and Harry were.
19. When Ron gave Dobby his socks and Weasley jumper for Christmas.
20. When Ron realized he had been an idiot for arguing with Harry about the Triwizard tournament and resumed his position as Harry’s #1 fan and person Harry would miss most.
21. When he gave up exam studying time to let Harry practice stunning him over and over again.
22. When he was there for Harry after the graveyard and didn’t force him to talk about what had happened, but was there with a game of chess to help Harry take his mind off what had happened.

24. When he stood up to his classmates to defend Harry and publicly state that he fully believed Harry that Voldemort was back and had murdered Cedric.

26. When Ron called Umbridge an old hag for what she was doing to Harry in his detentions with her and “suggested poison” when Hermione said that something needed to be done about her.
27. When he ripped up Percy’s letter and threw it in the fire when Percy suggested that he should stop being friends with Harry.
28. When Ron told Hermione that Harry could make his own decisions when he wanted to go talk to Sirius in Umbridge’s fire.
29. When he pulled trash off the hats Hermione had knitted because the House Elves should at least know what they’re picking up.
30. When he stood and fought alongside Harry at the Ministry of Magic when they thought Sirius was in danger.
31. When Ron stuck with Harry when he and Hermione learned about the prophecy, even though they understood the danger it put Harry and himself in.
32. When he was being a complete idiot about liking Hermione and very clearly wanted to go to Slughorn’s Christmas party with her.
33. When Ron pretended to be asleep every time Lavender visited the hospital wing and then looked sheepish when Harry confronted him about it.
34. When he wasn’t afraid to confront Harry about kissing Ginny after they had broken up, because just because Harry was his best friend didn’t mean that he wouldn’t defend his siblings.
35. When we learn from the locket just how deep Ron’s insecurities run and he tells Harry that he’s not as cool as Harry is making him out to be, remaking their friendship stronger than ever before.
36. When he’s screaming and crying for Hermione while she’s being tortured at Malfoy Manor.
37. When he suggests that they evacuate the House Elves from Hogwarts during the battle, and he and Hermione have their first kiss.
38. When he demonstrates his protectiveness of Harry when he volunteers to go to Voldemort to kill the snake because Voldemort expects Harry to come himself.
39. When he yells out “HE BEAT YOU” to Voldemort when he believes Harry is dead.
40. Every time he overcomes his flaws and works to make himself into a better person.
