little tribute to rabbit,, whilst i haven't interacted with this fandom in a While saying that this band, and rabbit especially, were fundamental to my artistic development would be an understatement.

i was looking through one of my old sketchbooks from 2023 that was just absolutely chock full of spg fanart and especially art of rabbit - there was a "rabbit counter" on the first page totalling how many times i'd drawn her in that book (it was 46!!!!) and i genuinely think i would be nowhere near the skill level i'm at without all the inspiration i've taken from isabella's art, stories and especially rabbit as a character.

i'm so eternally grateful that i got to see the band live at the asylum steampunk festival last year, and especially that i got to meet bunny and show her some of my old spg art, and i wish the best for both the rest of the band and bunny for whatever comes next!!!

What’s gonna happen after those shows…?

They said no shows would be cancelled this year. What they do beyond August is unknown as of yet, but they have to have been thinking of something before this sudden moment at least based on the wording of the original announcement. Lowkey I hope one of the backing musicians pulls a Sam and becomes a robot. Astrud doing a drag themed robot would be so cool but the least likely out of the group idk. 🤷 This is the type of excited speculation my brain is in rn!

Hey, I've been doing some reading and talking and thinking on the whole situation and I want to say this -

Can we not encourage this air of doomerism within the SPG fandom? This is a bit of an ambiguous situation with the future, but the band is not dead. No one is the bad guy here. From what I've heard from people who have watched Bunny's twitch stream, it feels like she feels angry and sad that she has to take a break from working on something she truly loves, and the things that she wanted to do that weren't necessarily what the band wanted to do. I would be too!

Yea, the change was really close to the Portland show. Yeah, everyone looked stressed. A lot of things were happening all in the last few days, it sounds like it was rough! But this isn't forever (and for what it's worth, the Portland show still sounded like it was fun). This too shall pass. The band sounds like it's been rough patches before, and they've survived.

Give these people time and space to breathe. Give yourselves the space to breathe. It's going to be ok.

(As a side note, no hate to anyone who has made doomerism claims, I get how scary this can feel in the moment as I also have felt these things the past few days, I'm just bringing up an alternative point that might ease some minds)

oh just found out I CAN edit posts lol... they said all shows planned for 2026 aren't cancelled so they gotta have some plan in the works...🤞🏻
