Ada is my shorthand for Amanda or Adam. They’re always the opposite gender of MC.

Alex is always set to the same gender as Grey but will come out as non-binary eventually.

Em is my shorthand for Emma or Emmett. They’re always the same gender as MC.

They’re all sub ROs that can be romanced well before the main ROs but they’re not endgame.

They’re also not too present in chapter 1 but will be expanded upon in chapter 2 and 3.

I find the band gender configurations interesting:

All-male instrumentalist bands are common, basically the default like Feldman says, and there have been plenty of popular mainstream bands like that.

There are plenty of all-female bands, although I can't think of many popular/mainstream ones where they're all instrumentalists as well, rather than purely vocalists (and sometimes dancers too)? Especially not as famous as girl bands like The Spice Girls, Destiny's Child, The Supremes, etc.

There are bands that are all male except for 1 woman, although she's usually the lead singer & the “face” of the band (and usually the most conventionally attractive one). I don't think I've seen a popular/mainstream band where she's the lead guitarist though, it's pretty rare to see a girl/woman in that role. I think the mentors kind of make this point, that she might draw too much attention whilst not being the lead.

And I don't think I've ever seen a band that is all-female except from 1 guy lol. I'm sure they exist, but idk any mainstream ones? Although I suppose being a male lead guitarist in itself is pretty common.

(I'm not a music buff, so I could be off here, but this is just my impression as a casual music listener)

Don't really have much to add here... except that was the exact thoughts I had while I was writing! I'm sure bands like this exist, but none mainstream enough to list off the top of my head.

I also saw a lot of IFs where MC is the lead singer, which isn't a bad thing, but I thought it would be interesting to write an instrumentalist role instead. MC of course still gets to sing, while becoming just as famous as Grey because they're all sold as a tight knit group package... Finley and Bem will be overshadowed at times, but both Grey and MC are the 'attractive faces' of the band that makes it instantly recognisable.

Hello peeps... So this is a topic I'd have to breach eventually. This is very much a coming of age story, with teenagers, who'll be exploring their desires, and what it means to be desired. Now that means the story will feature gross sexualisation of minors, but also general teen exploration of sex and gender.

Nothing explicit, except for one optional scene that is meant to be uncomfortable and showcase Hollywoods... less than desirable traits in act II. Yes, statutory rape is in the cards for MC should this be a route you feel 'comfortable' to read or have happen. I will never impose that experience on anyone, but it is there, so be warned. There will also be a fade-to-black option for this route.

Anyway, what I'm getting at is that there will also be scenes where teens are being crass and sexual with or around each other. This goes for MC as well. There will be a toggle to exclude these interactions as I get how people might feel weird reading them. Again, nothing explicit, but as a coming of age story that explores these themes I think they have a purpose being there.

Because I know it will be asked, no, MC cannot engage in sexual acts with any of the ROs before they are of age. Yes, the aforementioned SA will impact MC if you chose for it to happen.

I just wanted to get this out there. These things will be completely optional, but I wanted full transparency early on. Thanks for reading, stay safe <3
