Dionysus and Ariadne in the Hades game art style (a failed attempt 🥲)
I’m a Hermes devotee, of course I’m the middle man in disagreements.
I’m a Hermes devotee, my pockets are never empty.
I’m a Hermes devotee, of course I wake up way too early.
I’m a Hermes devotee, I’m always thinking a mile a minute.
I’m a Hermes devotee, of course I’m going to walk my friends home.
I’m a Hermes devotee, I’ve got dozens of characters/campaigns/dice sets for d&d.
I’m a Hermes devotee, of course I’m spending the bus ride looking out the window.
I’m a Hermes devotee, I’m always a little bit tempted to shoplift.
I’m a Hermes devotee, I definitely tried to start at least one small business as a child.
I’m a Hermes devotee, I WAS a “gifted” student, and NOW I have a diagnosis.
I’m a Hermes devotee, of course I make an unbearable amount of puns.
I’m a Hermes devotee, my hobbies include everything.
It is okay to mourn the child that you were, or the child that you could have been. It is okay to be sad or angry that no one protected you like you should have been protected. It is okay to grieve.

*insecure*
Ariadne would never admit of being jealous or insecure but her feelings would get the best of her. I think her life in Crete shaped her opinions on marriage and life and since ber parents had a rocky one, she feared of having one like them.
To her Dionysus is perfect, even with his wild nature so it's not wonder many men and women alike are drawn to him. But she often compares herself or fears of him cheating. But he realises when she feels down. He never misses the difference in her moods and knows how to make her open up to him.
And actions speak louder then words and he intents to prove his love to her no matter how many times it takes.
Verses written in a bout of divine madness
I used to laugh at people who get possessed by “the Spirit” until I met him.
Dark-eyed and mysterious, loud and boisterous, a fire burning in his resounding heart.
He met me on my way, whispered in my ear, and I became entranced, manic, bursting with a strange new feeling that I grew to love and recognise as divine madness, this state of being inspired by the presence of godhood and the secrets revealed to us by Dionysus.
He held my hand to the flame, and amazed, I watched as it did not burn, that no stray blaze was licking my palm. And I screamed and leapt with excitement and joy, for the ivy-crowned god had showed me his power. And I fell at his feet to worship, but the god said:
“Rise”
And I rose
“Come”
And I came
“I am Dionysus. You may talk to me like a friend, and trust me like a brother, for you have now done what mortals can not do, and have looked at the world with the eyes of the gods. Rise, my friend. Rise, and light up the world with the fire I put in you”
And I rose, averting my eyes from the One who makes the world seem clear, for I was in awe the son of fair-faced Semele, without whom the world can not know sweet song.
been reminiscing about the past year recently and it got me feeling very grateful <3
Hades is a game that I never knew I needed to play and now I'm 5 years late to the party.
Totally love Dionysus' vine like hair
Can you draw Dionysus with Silenus ? I find their relationship very sweet !
Sure i can!^^
I too find their relationship very wholesome especially when dionysus had a very rough childhood, Silenus stood as a mentor and a father figure to him growing up.
And they say that some foreigner has arrived,
a sorcerer, an enchanter from the land of Lydia,
with sweet-smelling hair in curls,
the wine-dark charms of Aphrodite in his eyes...
Based on the myth in which Zeus gives baby Dionysus to Hermes. Apparently, this event fits into one of those types of common myths, because surprisingly it has several sources and versions and is even an element also present in Roman mythology. I don't know why, but I didn't expect it to have as many variants as I found (or, at least, that such variants had come to us in such numbers), although I knew there was a famous statue showing this (and I discovered there was an amphora also). Anyway, I'm not basing it on any specific version, just the basic idea of Hermes having a role in being temporarily responsible for Dionysus.
Dionysus's design has already been explained previously, I just made him a baby. As a result, the horns are smaller and there is less detail. Maybe the next time I make him an adult his design will change, but it wasn't this time since he's a baby here.
As for Hermes, I used the idea of the winged petasus since it's a typical symbol of his and in this drawing you can't see it, but I will probably also keep the wings on his feet. I checked amphorae that had Hermes on them and noticed that it's common for him to be portrayed wearing a chlamys as it's an outfit often worn by travelers, so I drew him wearing one too. Like Dionysus, Hermes is both represented in a younger form (without a beard) and in an older form (with a beard). I decided to go with the younger version, because my first contact with him in ancient sources was when I read Homer and Homer described him like that, so that was the image I had of Hermes. In this drawing you can't see it because of the clothes, but I usually draw the body in the sketch before covering it and for Hermes I used Olympic runners as a reference to get an idea of a physique associated with speed.

Not entirely happy with it, especially the wobbliness of some of the lines, but it's probably finished to the best of my ability right now, and it's close enough to what I was picturing that I'm pleased! 😊
