Hey Hi Hello! I'm Toof/El! I go by she/he/they with no real preference over any pronoun. My interests tend to change every few months. So if you stay because of fanart for only one fandom, good chance I'll never draw in again for a bit.

Azure was given the chapter 2 script and has been drawing portions of it over time, and just posted Damon's and Kai's blackmail. Here it is.
The art is very good obv no shade to Azure, but I am annoyed that the writers weren't really going to do anything interesting here. It sounds like the only blackmail that would be interesting at all would be Wolfgang's, Desmond's, Grace's, and Jean's. Maybe Jett's but it seems that never matters.
It's disappointing to me, putting aside how hyped up I was about what Damon's could have been. At most it can be read as a reference to the tree of good and evil in the garden but it still lacks any relevance. Literally the side he's on is completely decided by a coinflip... đ
I said this to you privately but part of why itâs so awful is that everyoneâs is boring. Makoto pissing the bed is funny and reinforces that he is Just Some Guy surrounded by a bunch of Ultimates with insane backstories. Damonâs is literally nothing. Itâs not even funny. Itâs not even mildly embarrassing. Itâs confusing because itâs just âDamon argued humanity is evil because of a coin flipâ. Like okay?????????

Like there is a difference between "My trauma creates impulsive urges and has changed my instinctive reactions to be irrational, I need to relearn shit." vs "I'm traumatized so I Can't Help It and you're not allowed to expect better of me"
I've been in the midst of making a tintin video essay about Tintin and Chang, but I've discovered something that made me had a connect the dots moment. I had to make it its own tangent.
So It's safe to assume that Chang's signature color is green. His green tang in his first appearance and pants in Tibet make it obvious. However, Tintin has two signatures he wears, his yellow polo in the early books, and his more iconic blue sweater.
The interesting thing I've noticed is that both yellow and blue are both analogous to green. literally sandwiched in-between the two.
Yellow can represent youthfulness, optimism, and cheerfulness. These are traits that are definitely present in Tintin, but over time, he wears less yellow in favor of light blue. In fact, the last time he wears his yellow shirt is in the beginning of Blue Lotus. His disguise that he wears the rest of the book is blue. And when he wears this, who does he meet? Chang.
The blue that's used is still bright but represents different ideas. It can symbolize freedom and intelligence. This fits Tintin in the later years as he changes his mindset when he learns more and more about different cultures and travels to more places.
As for Chang, Green can mean Luck and earthy themes such as nature, growth, and life in general. We've seen time and time again of Chang surviving disasters such as his orphanage being flooding and getting into a plane crash. Both times, he's the only survivor of these instances. Calling him lucky is an understatement. We haven't seen it, but he's clearly been put through hell. Yet he still keeps living. The world gives him an extreme set of circumstances to have this wonderful gift called life. His time with Tintin helped him grow confident after he got out of the river. That confidence growth can bleed into Tibet when he walks to shelter(Also learned that Green in China is heavily associated with family, and his ending in Blue Lotus speaks for itself on that)
All of this could not be intentional, and HergĂŠ just picked what looked good at the time. But let me cook. I have nothing to do with my color knowing otherwise.
Also noteworthy is that in Tintin in Tibet. He wears a scarf that is used as a marker of where he went. And what color is the scarf? A bright yellow. Granted, I'm not sure if itâs the same shade as his polo since there was no color picker at the time. But It's still yellow nonetheless. The scarf, while only there to be a narrative device, can still carry weight. Like even before they meet again, Chang was holding onto him and how he was influenced after meeting him. He even says it himself that he thought of him often.
Even when Tintin wears it when it's found, it can be the same for him. Holding on to that optimism, hoping that Chang is still out there.
At the end of Tibet, they switched color pallets, the green and yellow that's on Tintin with the blue on Chang. A coming full circle moment if you will.
(Also do you know what else has green and blue in it?)
The day we have trans characters that are shown to be early in transitioning/transition as the story progress explicitly is the day the flowers will bloom and peace will be known
