It’s four days until the election. There’s been some good progress these last couple years but the LGBTQ+ community still fights workplace and housing discrimination, bullying, and legislative attempts to curtail their rights and freedoms.

They’re angry and they’re spoiling for a fight so they pick the stupidest little things to get upset about. These are the sort of people who live in very deep rabbit hole, the ones that internalized a lot of self-esteem issues as children that they are now projecting on to everyone else. They get offended because they need to be offended; it gives them purpose and their anger an outlet.

Steven Universe Artist Quits Twitter Over Fan Harassment

Steven Universe storyboard artist Lauren Zuke has left Twitter and deleted her account after days of harassment from an aggressive subsection of Steven Universe fans.

Well SU Anti-Fans, you did it, you drove a member of the actual staff off of Twitter from this harassment, and yes I’m going to call you “Anti-fans” because you do not care about this show one bit.

This, and other situations, have all stemmed from a small group of arrogant bastards who refuse to see the show or have any actual fans do something that goes against their narrow desires.

Just a few months ago, an ACTUAL fan was drove to near suicide from harassment, the crime? Drawing Pearl with a *gasp* MAN!!!

As we all know, the Steven Universe fandom laws clearly state that Pearl is FORBIDDEN from appearing in a relationship with anyone other than Rose Quartz, much less a weak man like Mayor Dewey, the fandom had decided that Pearl must be forever paired with a woman who is;

A) Dead B) Turned into her 12 year old son.

That last paragraph was sarcasm.

Look guys, I’m sure you were excited about Amedot or whatever the fuck it was called, but you need to learn some harsh truths; You can love Steven Universe as much as you like, but it doesn’t belong to you.

You don’t get to throw a hissy fit at the shows creators because things don’t go your way and you certainly don’t get to throw death threats at people who want to draw Rose thinner.

Steven Universe is an amazing show, great characters, beautiful music and just wonderful messages about acceptance, love and peace. The fact that those messages don’t resonate is why you will always be “Anti-fans”.

This is why we can’t have nice things….
