watched a mexican movie in theaters yesterday (en el camino, lmk if you saw it bc i didn’t fully understand the ending and i can’t find a full plot summary) and there were spanish subtitles up which usually i would be grateful for except that they were like translating mexican spanish into spain spanish so it was way more confusing for my little pea brain. like the slang is different obvs but i don’t think we change subtitles for british or aussie movies 😭 like i think we all know what pendejo is no need to translate to gillipollas

okay my lesson was awesome!! and i put myself as a2 and she was like girl you are not a2. gonna schedule with her again for sure and work on being chattier with people generally. because spaniards really are so nice when you're learning i just get stressed that people think im stupid. but it's stupider to not talk.....
