Only Friends discussion (2)
Mew is such an interesting character because he's not the typical "i can fix him" kind of person. The most important thing for him is Boundaries.
He prioritize himself over anything else, which is quite interesting because the way he prioritize himself is not in an egoistic way. This man is sincere to his friends and his boyfriend (i guess we can officially call Top his boyfriend now), but at the same time he draws a line for him not to interfere something he shouldn't.
"As a friend, my duty is to warn you, whether you want to change or not, it's out of my responsibility"
There are people who said Mew should've done more to help Ray bla bla bla but you have no idea how hard it is to deal with someone like Ray who has no will to change. Mew HAS TO SET BOUNDARIES for the sake of his own mental health. I'm pretty sure Mew already suggested Ray to see a doctor just like how he did to Top (he didn't actually told Top to do it but the first thing he asked when Top told him about his insomnia was "have you seen a doctor?").
"It's your life, but if you want to be involved in a romantic relationship with me, then you gotta stop using that."
Is it a bit hypocritical to say? maybe. But does he has valid reason to say that? absolutely yes. Top is different from Ray because Top is his boyfriend, the boundaries he set for Top has to be different from the rest of his friends or else he wouldn't be any different from 'a friend'. Mew will be involved in Top's life more than he ever be with anyone else, that's why he's gonna make Top stop using it for the sake of their relationship, and in this case, he offers sex. (tho i still think it's not gonna be easy for Top to stop using it even with the sex Mew offered)
