Yenralt again!
I just can't stop...
"... But if there is, then you’ve condemned yourself. Condemned yourself to me." 💜
Nie umiem przestać ich uwielbiać, nawet rysowanie nie pomaga...
Just the two of us
The “was it worth it?” from Geralt to Tissaia at Sodden and “how are you not heart broken” “who says im not” short exchange between Geralt and Nivellen are, without a doubt, my absolute favorite Yenralt moments in all of season 2, and it kind of breaks my Yennefer loving heart that she wasn’t physically there to see them.
In these short moments, we get more of a feel for how important Yennefer is to Geralt, how big of a piece she is in his life, than we did the rest of the season.
He doesn’t care about their ups and downs or how things ended on the dragon hunt. Both times you can feel the regret for things unsaid and actions taken, and know the hurt that still lingers even when he may not outwardly show it (with Nivellen).
I can almost see Geralt playing through the ‘what if’ scenarios off screen, torturing himself with ideas of how it could have been different, what it would have been like. Hell, I think he would be a man that would promise to never lay eyes on her again if it meant that she could still walk the continent.
It’s deep, it’s real and far more poignant than their reunion scene at Melitele.
Since The Witcher‘s Season 1 finale, we’ve all been eagerly awaiting Geralt and Yennefer’s reunion in Season 2, and though the scene is laced with all sorts of emotions, it does not disappoint. Their journey will be a long and winding road, but it’s going to be worth it because this very scene beautifully showcases how much love is burning within them.
There’s a plethora to be said about senses and how much they hold within a person—the detail that lilac and gooseberries will transport Geralt back home at every turn. And the moment he realizes it’s the very scent that’s taking over the room, Henry Cavill touches on a myriad of emotions with a single expression that floors me. (And I’ve said this before, but it’s no small feat to emote as poignantly with colored contact lenses.) All the pain and heartache that Geralt has tried to bury disband in the return of hope—the engulfing longing that thus spreads like embers.

“You were kind to me,” she said. “I remember.“
A busker plays music for a blind autistic girl sitting in a wheelchair. She’s being allowed to stim (flapping and rubbing her shirt) and respond to the music her own natural way. The busker places her hand on the guitar to let her see what is creating the music, and she smiles as he sings to her. They made a connection. That is autism acceptance. Take note. Many autistic people will open up to you like a flower if you gently connect with them in ways that work for them instead of forcing them to connect with you in ways that only work for you. I hope that sweet kid grows up to be a musician or artist! :)
Teaser (in gif form) of a clip from an upcoming fic trailer I’ll be putting together this week…..
How do you know Hannibal? One could argue, intimately.
