#i love this show and it’s representation of the different kind of women#we have eleanor who is the self made snarling woman king#who built her empire on the backs of others and the name of her father#yet her danger is quiet because she can destroy you with one simple act#and then there’s max#the victim crouching in the shadows who takes her abuse because she doesn’t know any other way to live#she tries to manipulate those around her to rise through the ranks#but it doesn’t work on everyone#she’s not yet mastered her skillset#but her time is coming#and then there’s anne of course#the woman in a man’s world#who will cut off the balls of any man who dares fuck with her#the typical badass#but she’s smart as well—smart and calcuated and aware of how to play those around her#just like eleanor and max#each is written so different stylistically#in the way they fight and claw their way through life#but none is written as better than the other#the woman king; the feminine made victim; the badass lady pirate#each has her own strengths and weaknesses#each is shown and written as human#it’s so brilliant#ugh i love this show (via kingsbreaker)

I think this might be my favourite scene in all the Pirates of the Caribbean films. I can’t decide whose reaction I like best: Davy Jones’ look of sheer pride after ruining Will’s tea, Will’s look of “For fuck’s sake, I was drinking that” as it goes flying out of his hand, or Beckett’s look of horror at the sight of wasted tea.
