Long before you were born, the Great Calamity, a calculated effort by Magyo cultists nearly wiped out the entirety of the Jungpa sects. If not for the noble sacrifice of the peerless Sword Saint of the Mount Hua Sect: the Divine Blade, Yeo Jinhu, demonic forces would have rent the heavens and the earth asunder.

Despite his triumph, nothing would ever be the same – the losses were staggering, the task of rebuilding the sects to their former glory seemed to prove an insurmountable challenge. Yet nearly two decades after his death, peace returned to the land once more.

After the death of your parents, you lead an ordinary, if not monotonous, life as the playmate of the spoiled young master of the Mount Hua Sect. However, all is not what it seems. Following the mysterious arrival of an amnesiac with strange abilities, whispers of a plot brewing in the shadows start to surface, and the world as you know it begins to fall apart around your feet.

Suddenly confronted with the uncertainty of the future, you must unravel the tragedy of what truly conspired all those years ago before you risk losing all you hold dear.

tosahobi (18+) is a muhyeop choose-your-own adventure game centered around elements of korean folklore and taoism in a tale of family, grief, and heritage.

play as a customizable main character: choose their physical appearance, gender, pronouns, sexuality, and more.

explore different relationships: from platonic to romantic to familial, build a variety of relationships with the cast (and hopefully make more friends than you do enemies.)

choose from different skill sets: pick between medicine, weaponry, tactics, and hand-to-hand combat. each field comes with its own advantages and disadvantages that affect multiple scenarios as the story progresses.

choice-driven story: with several routes and (many) choices, fail or succeed and find your way to an ending (whether it be happy or not.)

THE YOUNG MASTER

Yeo Jinwol of the Mount Hua Sect, is the youngest son of the sect leader. Contrary to his charming public demeanor, he has a childish side and can be extraordinarily stubborn. Having grown up in the shadow of his elder brothers he is fiercely protective of those he considers precious to him and struggles to measure up to the expectations placed on his shoulders. Assigned his playmate at a young age, whether you consider it fortuitous or not the two of you have been stuck together for years.

THE ENIGMA

Yul is your sajae, a disciple under the same master as you. Despite their amnesia, they're preternaturally talented at whatever they set their mind to. With strange yet unexplainable abilities that seem to stretch far beyond the scope of their powers, their missing memories may be the key to unlocking the answers you seek. Reclusive yet dedicated you'd almost think they were far, far older than their age if not for their intense sweet tooth and their tendency to follow you around like a very clingy second shadow.

THE PRODIGY

Baek Iseul, the Frozen Blade, is the rising star Emei Sect and has long been hailed as the next Sword Saint. Contrary to her cheerful personality you've never met anyone with a sharper gaze before. Hailing from obscurity, her power rivals even those who have trained for years and years, and has amassed an ever-growing collection of heroic feats under her belt. Popular and well-liked with a mischievous streak, you're really not sure why someone with such a promising future has taken a liking to you.

hi! you're so sweet, and that's very kind of you! i don't think i take any specific inspiration from any author in particular, but i would say that some influenced me more than others (jeanette winterson, dostoyevsky, summer, cuttlefish that loves diving, please don't laugh, so on so forth!) moreso than pointing to anyone, i think i just love reading and words. i think english is really such a nice language because speaking it feels like a mouthful asdjfsjd

as for book recommendations... i think i have a very very unspecific taste so if you wanted to ask about specifics (nonfiction, fiction, webnovels) i could probably help you out more! i don't think i've read very much fanfiction recently so i can't help you there (＞﹏＜) but if anyone has read anything good recently please drop it in the comments!!!! help one another out!!!

Helloo, I’m going through past asks and I see you said something about the right person wrong time about the relationship between Jinwol and the MC; and I’m thinking about other relationships like the MC and Yul; and Jinwol and Yul. And the way Yul isn’t actually the most moral person and desires to be the closest to MC. And the hatred between Jinwol and Yul… It reminded me of a fanart for the SVSSS fandom by MeltedMush…

It’s split in 3 parts, sorry for the inconvenience!! Having a familiarity with the characters might make the comparison make more sense but I wanted to share my thoughts with you anyways!

I’m a little sick so I might just be seeing things that aren’t there. If you don’t want to see the art it’s just one character cutting the red string of between 2 other characters who kinda have a doomed relationship because of their countless circumstances because they want the person on the left. The artist is very skilled and they have another piece of the same scene but I thought this would fit your characters more.

i love the comparison and to be quite frank it's absolutely something yul would do. i think when it comes to yul they're the kind of person who'd walk all over the mc so long as they thought they could get away with it. for example if the mc expressly chose jinwol then they wouldn't say anything about it, but it's an entirely different story if the mc isn't cognizant about their feelings for him...

the hatred between yul and jinwol is because they see themself in another and hate the fact the see that desperation. they also hate the fact that the other person can do things they can't – jinwol will forever occupy the largest part of the mc's life, and yul will forever be able to cross boundaries without much consequence. it's aversion of one's own kind!

Been a long while since I visit your blog, works kind of hectic this year but anyway! I see a post where you set a limit to how short yul's height can go? Does that mean if the mc is shorter than 5'6 then we'll have the opportunity to be tiny mushroom in their eyes? (have to ask for sure because I have a thing for tiny mc but not so much when a ro's height was affected by it😭) I love the height different dynamic, the frustration and endless height teasing, oh great joy!!

yes, you certainly can be shorter than them but they won't actually be calling you short or petite or whatnot! there isn't much commentary on height differences in the sense that there's teasing going on TT so i'm sorry about bursting your bubble. (there is a moment that's About Height though!) and you can certainly be the most petite member of the group!

I know that you said you wouldn't release the name of the author who stole your work, but I think you should. They should be held accountable for their actions, especially if they're a big/popular author. They should know not to do shit like that. Frankly, I also just want to know who they are so I can avoid their work in the future. They don't deserve popularity and fans for stealing from "smaller" authors.

personal update!

well, you might be asking, where's the update? what's up with the radio silence? where the hell have you been? i'm here to answer some pressing questions i've gotten in my inbox and hopefully clear up some others.

the answer is i have it! it's ready to send off to beta testers and whatnot. alongside a little surprise... well, perhaps not a surprise if you've been lurking in the comments of some posts, but i hope you guys will like it regardless^^

what's up with the radio silence?

tldr; the ol' classic trifecta of school, work, and illness. but to be quite frank, i discovered last year that a much larger author came to the decision to steal lines and paragraphs from the very, very minimal amount of game i have released and essentially pass them as their own. please do not ask me or speculate as to who this might be. i do not want witch hunts to happen. but as you might have guessed this sent me into an anxious spiral about sharing my work and questioning whether or not i was simply being paranoid ^_^ but i'm perfectly fine now! no more setbacks.

During crushing stage, how would the ROs react if they were about to pat the MC on the back, but the MC got up at the wrong time and they ended up slapping their ass instead?

i burst out laughing when i opened up my notifs to see this ask shsjdjd

jinwol just SCREAMS. high-pitched. he just absolutely shrieks and then turns bright red. you’d think he was the one who got his ass slapped. stands up at the same time as you and blurts out some excuses before dashing off. he’s dead. he’s dying. will never bring it up to you nor apologize because he can’t think about it without wanting to stick his sword in his gut.

yul blinks and then apologizes immediately by saying that they were trying to pat your back. if the you accept it, then that’s good! if you seem embarrassed they’re smiling and saying if you wanted them to do “that” all you have to do is ask. 70% chance you end up whacking them on the head. 30% chance they make you flustered. win-win either way!

iseul is the type of person to not register they’ve just slapped your ass so you get to see her bluescreen (hand still on your ass) as she processes what she’s just done. probably just stares at you totally mute and then just goes “ah, my apologies!” and laughs it off. spends the rest of the day periodically looking at her hand in total silence. absolutely going into her list of “embarrassing moments i remember randomly and then cringe at because they’re too painful to think about”

xst calmly does a redo and stands up to pat you on the back. also in the “i’m not apologizing” club but they’re in the category of person where if they don’t think they did anything wrong they’re not saying sorry. this is unfortunately why they’re Like That but unless you got extremely upset they’re just going to brush over it. who needs respect anyways?
