JUST WATCH IT
WHAT
“Excuse me,”
He said, approaching the bar, hands stuffed deep in his pants’ pocket. Atticus wasn’t too fond of bothering customers,
“I can’t help to notice this is the fifth drink you’ve ordered. Are you alright?”
The girl went ahead and took another sip of her drink, hearing his voice. Was she alright? That was the question. Her nightmares had started up again, and they were absolutely terrible.
This forced her to drink again. She'd gotten over the last of them about a month ago, and she was sure she was done.
A whole month had passed for Analeigh, and they were back again.
"Peachy. Just really peachy," she said dryly.
Aryn wandered the halls quietly, when she heard a throat clear behind her. She turned around, placing her hands on her hips to see Jane standing there behind her. "Didn’t Alec inform you to not roam the halls?" Jane questioned. Aryn narrowed her eyes. She really didn’t like this girl. "Didn’t someone tell you to not be such a bitch?" Jane’s eyes narrowed. "You’re going to regret that," Jane growled. A smirk formed on Jane’s lips, and that’s when Aryn began feeling the pain. This time, she didn’t scream, simply her legs buckled beneath her. Through sharp breaths, Aryn growled, "You’re. A. Bitch." Jane seemed so in shock that Aryn was continuing to press on with the name calling despite the torture that Jane stopped. Taking a few steps closer to the red head, Jane slowly bent down, and with one hand pressed her to the wall. "Listen here, kid, I’m not going to deal with your crap, and neither is the master," Jane began, "I can’t believe Alec hasn’t already disposed of you yet." Aryn scoffed, laughing in her face. "You’re really pathetic," she spoke softly, smirking. "But really, do tell me more," she encouraged Jane with a sarcastic smile. With a sadistic look, Jane dropped her to the ground. Releasing all her power on her, Aryn held onto the wall, closing her eyes. "I really, REALLY hate you," Aryn spoke as she unvoluntarily cringed at the pain.
The boy licked his lips, breathing in through his noise. The redhead smelled absolutely amazing, and it was quite easy to pick from the smell of the other people who constantly resided in the castle. That being said, he felt like he could also smell... his sister? Sitting the toast and orange juice down in front of the girl's empty room, he took off in the direction of the smell.
He got there in time to hear Aryn calling his sister a bitch the second time. For the most part, Alec decided that she needed that first dose of pain. Jane was a bitch, there was no doubt about it, but it was not the redhead's place to say that. Of course, he wasn't sure what had happened for that to be said.
As it turns out, there was most likely a reason, that's why he decided it was time to dish out a dose of some nasty flavored medicine for his sister to take. She could do nothing if she couldn't see, and that's why he elected for only her sight to be taken away. As soon as the mist enveloped her, he dashed over to grab Aryn before she hit the ground.
"Jane," Alec began, "as much as I do adore you, we cannot harm this pathetic human." He sighed, as if it pained him too, only giving Aryn a small shake of the head, holding his hand over her mouth. "She was brought here for a purpose, and Aro wouldn't like it if we hurt his new little toy. However, I'll make sure she knows to keep her loud mouth shut. Now, I must take her back to her room. I will be seeing you later, sister." He finished, and slipped an arm under Aryn's legs, ready to take her back to her room.
Reblog if you'd care if I deleted my Tumblr.
Aryn sighed, laying there and staring at the wall. She reached over, turning the light on. The room was as cryptic as someone would think, even though it was in the castle of vampires. Finally, she rose to her feet, slipping off the bed. She folded her arms around herself, wondering whatever she was going to do here. Somewhere, she hoped that she would actually learn something here. Not just be used as a pawn for one of their stupid experiment sor games. It was a small hope, but it was worth something. Walking over to the dresser, she pulled out a drawer. She pulled out a small, black skater dress which she put on after washing up a bit. She still had her purse with her, thankfully, so she dug through it, putting on a little bit of makeup. She was a human in a place full of vampires. She would still probably look the worst, but at least she could try to make herself feel better. Slipping on black flats, then pulling her hair halfway up, she wandered out of the room. She looked down the halls, Alec being no where in sight. She shrugged. Then, she decided to wander.
Really, she had taken a little bit too long for Alec's liking, so he had left for the kitchen. They had a toaster and bread, so he decided that toast and, after examining the refrigerator, a glass of orange juice would be enough breakfast for Aryn to have the day.
Proudly, he put the toast he had made on a plate and grabbed the glass of orange juice, heading back to her room. The door was cracked, which meant that she had left already. And was now roaming the halls by herself. That was really fantastic.
He just hoped that Jane wasn't roaming the hallways waiting to pain the poor girl. She might be a little sassy and can't stand him, but it didn't matter. Jane's pain wasn't something to wish on someone you just somewhat disliked.
"Are there any decent movies playing or in Redbox as of right now?"
If you couldn't tell that Darron was upset, you were blind. "Really, why do you do this?"
Aryn settled into her room, wandering around and looking at everything. When she opened the drawers, she was disturbed by the fact that there was clothing that fitted her. It was all black, and she let out a groan. She didn’t want to be a gothic freak. Didn’t she have enough problems right now? Finally, she walked over to where the lamp was, and she shut it off as she snuggled into the queen size bed. "Maybe I’ll wake up from this dream," she whispered to herself. That night, she didn’t dream, but she was restless. She tossed and turned in her bed, knocking off the fancy quilts and throwing the pillows to the floor. She was naturally a crazy sleeper, so it was shocking enough that she wasn’t sleep walking. Waking her up was a soft knock on her door. She opened her eyes. When everything was still dark, she groaned. There were no windows in her room, either. This place was mostly underground, afterall. "Go to hell!" she yelled, as it was the best thing to come to mind at the moment. Then, she rolled over, burying her face into her pillow.
Alec groaned, knocking again on her door. "Aryn, get up now. I don't want to have to come in to awaken you." He threatened. If he had to, he'd go to the kitchen - never used but still fully stocked from when Heidi was a human - and find something to feed the girl, then come back with it. That way, if she wouldn't get up then he had a real reason to go in.
like for a starter?
Everything was silent, and the only thing that offered Aryn any help was her mind. Until finally Alec let her hear, and she listened, because that was the only thing she could do. She would have shivered at her speech if she could have. Finally, everything returned to her, and she was put on her feet. She was a bit wobbly at first, still trying to get herself to gain her balance, and she quickly stepped away from him and the feeling of his hand pressed against her back. She looked up at hoim slowly, not commenting on anything else he said. "I hate you," she said, looking away from him, walking into the room, and she closed the door behind her.
The harsh words didn't hurt, they didn't sting. He didn't care. He slowly shook his head at her door. That's why Alec went to the library. Whenever he was even a little bit frustrated at anyone, you could find the boy in the library, reading away.
Honestly, the castle's library had everything. It help scrolls from long times ago to some of the newest books. Right now, Alec wanted to read novels of the modern kind, so he grabbed himself a stack, relaxing into his favorite recliner and starting into the pile of novels.
Every once in a while, he glanced up at the clock. It was midnight, then three in the morning, then five in the morning, then eight in the morning. Finally, it was ten and it was time to wake the human. Closing the book, he placed it on the shelf and with his speed, he made his way to her room. He knocked on the door politely.
Alex stared at her. He was actually a bit shocked that she was handling this so well. He shook his head, letting out a breath for a moment before he decided to speak. "You don’t really give tours. You lead a group to the throne room. But, it appears to be a tour," Alex spoke softly, not going into anymore details about it. He was sure she could figure it out on her own. He looked her over for a moment, and then spoke, "I’ll get that teddy bear for you. I’ll get everything from your hotel room." He felt awkward then added, "Maybe we can go back there tonight before you settle into your room, and you can retrieve your things."
Honestly, Valerie was a little to upset to really feel. She honestly wanted to go climb in a bed and sit there to stare at the ceiling for a long while.
"So, I'm ultimately leading people to die?" She whispered, a frown on her face. She honest to god wished that she hadn't asked what exactly the other girl's job was. Now she had to live with knowing that.
"Can we really go and get my things? Is that allowed?" Valerie's frown deepened. "I really don't want to get you into anymore trouble than I already have."
Aryn stared at him, until it was impossible for her to stare anymore. All of her senses seemed to wash away from her, and she began falling toward the ground, though of course she didn’t know that. She couldn’t see or feel anything around her.
She hit the ground, and Alec - in a quick motion - was by her side, kneeling down and scooping her into his arms. He hadn't wanted to take her to her room like this, but he had no choice. He restored her hearing, so that she could listen to him.
"Aryn, you are not going to get away from here no matter how hard to try. That being said, if you try, you'll get another dose of Jane. The more I need to use this power the worse of this partnership would be. Because, honestly, I doubt you want my sister with you. Dimitri and Felix? I'm sure you'd prefer having me." Maybe that was a little conceited. He went on as he moved towards her room as a human would walk.
Since he finished his speech, he moved at the normal speed of a vampire, stopping outside of her room. After he restored all of her senses, Alec put her on her feet, even though he kept a hand on her back. "This is your room. Do you have any questions before I head to my room for the night?"
"NO! No-no no! I’m not drunk what makes you think that! I’m great, perfect actually! Are you drunk?"
"Oh yeah, you're totally not drunk. I'm not drunk."
"Please, just call me Alex," he started, glancing over toward her as he placed his hands into his pockets as he began walking. He let a breath escape his lips as he finally began thinking on how he would respond to the girl. He didn’t want to overly frighten her, but then again it would probably be for the best if he was honest with her. Finally, he began, "Heidi was a tour guide, and now she is a vampire. Oh, right, you still don’t know what we are, do you? Yes, this place is home to vampires. The most powerful vampires in existence, actually." He sighed, running a hand through his dark hair. He cleared his throat and continued, "You will be a tour guide. You’ll have a room in the servants quarters, though it’ll accomadate you well, I believe." Looking her over, he asked, "Anymore questions?"
"I think that Alexander appropriately demonstrates my feelings towards you though." Valerie pointed out with a frown. "Alex is a nickname, and nicknames come from friends." Did that mean that she didn't consider him as a friend? Sort of. She was working on it, but someone who helped her get stuck in this place wasn't the best.
"Oh great. So I give tours of a place I know nothing about as of now? And yeah, I kind of figured you were vampires. Ugh," She groaned, rolling her eyes.
"Yeah, are you ready to be my damn teddy bear? Because I left mine in the hotel room." Her voice didn't hold a tone of joking, mainly because she wasn't kidding. But, maybe he would offer to get it for her.
Aryn didn’t walk toward him, she simply stood where she was. "You’re lying, I’m not an idiot," was all she said, crossing her arms over her chest. "You’re like a demon, trying to lure me in. I’m not an idiot," she repeated, her green eyes narrowing at the boy in anger. "The least you could do is not lie to me," she said, the words seething from her lips. Aryn completely hated liars.
A sigh of frustration broke through, and Alec was back to normal. Standing straight up, arms crossed over his chest, head tilted to the side as if he were annoyed, and he was. "Fine. I'll be sure to be straight with you." Lying tended to be a last resort move for him, because most situations he found himself in had to do with vampires, where fear could easily be instilled into the other person.
The mist started out by him, the shimmering mist slowly spreading out. "Sorry, Aryn." He replied. He had elected every sense for his mist to paralyze.
”If you shut up, it’ll be great for humanity altogether.”
"Well, that was very rude. 'Scuse you. But no, just agree with me. It'll be best interest."
