Ten days left to apply or audition for my "touring rock band that solves monster-related problems" musical audio drama, and friends, if you're holding back because you don't think you have a chance, let me tell you:

so far, the most-applied-to crew job only has seven applicants

actually, the most-auditioned-for acting role also has only seven applicants right now

nobody has applied yet to be music director

nobody has auditioned yet for Beth or Flynn

Like, am I personally feeling extremely nervous about getting enough people for this project? Absolutely! Would I continue to utterly treasure any signal boosting, particularly when it comes to trying to find an African American actor/singer to play Beth? Of course! But your odds personally for getting in are at this point quite good. Take the leap!

Some of you might remember that I’m going to be running an AC Odyssey themed DnD campaign this summer, I hope to post updates once the campaign starts up so I can share all the hard work that me and my co-dm have done

But in the mean time the most important thing is that I have decided that not only will Brasidas survive Amphipolis but I’m making Kassandra canonically his wife ITS MY WORLD NOW UBISOFT

#it messes with the timeline sure but it’s all worth it to make my friends roleplay in my Kassidas fanfiction #I hope to start posting updates once we start playing bc things are probably gonna change a lot once I get character sheets #but importantly I’m retaining a Barnabas and adrestia; anomaly causing artifacts that our Misthios crew must find; and the cult!#Deimos included #also to prep my co dm watched all nine hours of ac odyssey cut scenes and now he is the only one who understands my psyche

The moral of the story is that when you’re tired and frustrated and your self esteem is low the answer is NOT to start a new video game

Eivor is like, genuinely charismatic and has social skills and can de-escalate situations when she wants to but loses all ability to fuction when flirting and trying to express any kind of attraction or romantic interest

Kassandra on the other hand has absolutely no social skills outside of calling people fuckers and being an occasional shithead, and only has charisma when she’s flirting

The funniest part about liking Serious Angst Themes while simultaneously fixating on a silly blorbo from my show is that 13 year old me would be writing the exact same type of fanfics as me now. Real tragedy enjoyers know ts for life

God no seriously I love liars. I love when characters want their lie to be real. I love when characters didn't think this lie would be that serious, when they think it's just a little white lie that's worth it and that's helping even. I love when the lie gets wildly out of control and endangers everyone else in the process. I love when they're so so guilty over it and yet they can't say it, can't make themselves, too afraid of the consequences. I love when they're extremely aware of how wrong it is and still they can't admit it.

I love when characters make part of their identity being a liar. I love when characters openly admit that you can't trust what they say. Why do they? Bragging? Warning them? Just being self aware? I love when the character with a reputation for lying is trying to tell the truth and nobody believes them, and they have nobody to blame but themselves. I love when they lie so much not even they know what's under the act. I love when they don't know what's acting and what's not, when lying is just a habit for them.

I love characters who have begun to believe their own lie. Maybe they started with lying to themselves before they even said it to anyone else. Maybe they need this lie so they don't fall apart. Maybe it's all that's keeping them from breaking under reality. Maybe they take any attempt to confront them with the truth as a personal attack, because why would you make them face that. Maybe they've forgotten the truth. Maybe they never knew the truth at all. Maybe the lie was just the closest possible answer they could think of. How much are they a liar and how much are they just a person who was wrong? Where's the line?

I love liars. There are so many ways you can take their character and I will always lose my shit over it.
