There's not like,,, a huge divide between c!Dream apologists and the rest of the fandom. Unless maybe for those on Twitter but like,,, really?
It's *so* tiring to see the huge amount of talk there is about "confrontation" with inniters vs Dream apologists and like,,, when people talk with kindness to the other human person behind the screen, that so rarely exists. And I do get that a lot of people in this fandom are constantly prepared and preparing for the worst of people. That's valid, I get that, but it's important for people to also make attempts to real themselves back in. Going over the best outcome, worst outcome, and what's most likely to happen is my personal most useful anxiety strategy.
I regularly reblog art of Dream *from inniters* and just general non Dream apologists. These people are no different than any other human. They *are* human.
I have never once gotten hate messages for reblogging any Dream post that don't put him in a good light (granted, I do refrain from reblogging some of the more extreme stuff here as to not make the op or anyone else uncomfortable). My asks are on with anon, my messages are on too. I've also reblogged Dream art where the artists specifically complain about Dream apologists in them. Still never gotten a negative comment about it.
So really, just be nice and there is no divide. Not even super positivity is required, or really even positivity. Just respect and kindness for the fellow human in the fandom. And if the other person isn't being respectful and kind back? The block button always exists. Curating fandom experience is essential online and there's no harm to it.
TLDR: A divide imagined in fandom is significantly lesser in practice and almost non existent with kindness and respect.
