Oh the beauty of recognition in the present.

We used to move in unison.

Now we are only separate.

Parallel.

So far apart we are only together in a different universe.

Different planet.

Different people.

Apart.

A dark time when I could barely look up at the mirror to see who would be staring back.

Now all I can see is the light, still reflecting back up at me until I could face myself again.

You are never as alone as you think you are.

Wait for the light.

Went on a little solo journey today.

Been enjoying my alone time.

Finally.

No need for distraction,

No need for numbing my mind.

When you are constantly looking into the world for validation that you’re real, solitude hurts,

you know you’re better when

Doesn’t

Anymore.

When you can sit with your mind and have discussions.

When you can feel your heart beating and be grateful for it.

When the sun and wind are enough to remind you of your purpose.

That you are enough.
