An inelegant cry from the normally refined deity preceded and ended with a loud splash as Akira toppled into the school pool. He’d landed in the shallower end so it was fortunate he didn’t go in headfirst. Even so Akira went completely under.
On resurfacing Akira’s splendid hair floated around him and clung to his face much the way his soaked furisode now did. “Ku- Kusanagi-kun, what was that for?” were the first words Akira managed once he’d stopped spluttering.

Yesterday I took a pretty hard fall that bruised up my right arm and leg. Today I noticed I also seem to have strained my shoulder and may have bruised a muscle in my upper right arm because moving my shoulder hurts some and whenever I lift my arm it feels like I’m holding something heavy.
... And yet it doesn’t hurt otherwise and I can type just fine. Some small fortune, at least! }}

Why is there catnip under the sofa?
“Mrrrow?”
Something… smelled very good. It had been almost an hour since Tsukito had found himself a tiny ball of fur with a long tail and sensitive nose and ears, and only now that he had wandered into the student council’s room did he smell it: a tempting, fresh scent.
Of course he had to investigate; cat instincts insisted on it. That was why, when the door to the student council room open again, all that could be seen of the pure white cat was tail and hindquarters sticking out from under the sofa.
He sure was meowing a lot, wasn’t he? Finding a dust pan and broom like she wanted, she began to sweep up the catnip and disposed of it in the nearby by bin.
“Are trying you trying to say something, Mr.Kitty?”, she asked, placing her cleaning equipment back where she found them and returning to the white cats side. Kneeling down, she lifted the feline by its stomach and hoisted him into her arms.
“I was expecting Tsukito in here… how about, will you help me find him?”
Oof. Just for a moment the word passed through Tsukito’s mind; just as quickly it vanished when he realized that getting picked up like this didn’t bother him after all. He hung limp until he was situated in her arms, not a fuss or struggle from him.
‘I am here.’ That was what he wanted to say, at least. Unsurprisingly it came out as nothing more than a meow. Hmm, lack of ability to communicate made things difficult.
Tsukito settled for stretching out a paw to place it on Yui’s nose.

1. Cat instincts take over, no one’s wiggling toes are safe.
Why were wiggling things suddenly so… interesting? A light “mrew?” preceded Takeru hopping across the sidewalk after a small leaf caught by the wind. No no no, he shouldn’t want to pounce on it! But pounce he did.
Ooooh, what were those? One, two, three bounds and he’d leapt at a wiggling set of what turned out to be toes. Thank goodness his claws weren’t out!

“Oh, you are that type, huh?”
She is quite amused by her discovery and simply kept petting the other with a gentle smile, even if it had just growled at her. It seemed that being hostile towards he wouldn’t do much unless he attacked her. Hiyori ran a finger under his chin, scratching it gently- she may had never had a pet per se but her friends did, so the hybrid had some experience with cats.
“Well, its alright. Do you want something to eat…? I can get you some tuna.”
Hiyori wondered where this cat had came from, since she had never seen it around- but then again, stray cats were not fans of being seen too often unless it was nightfall, no? The girl was probably over thinking things again.
And just what did ‘that type’ mean, anyway!? Takeru would have let loose another meow of complaint had not Hiyori switched to scratching him under the chin. Ooooh that felt good...! His eyes drifted almost shut and his head tipped back for better access.
At the word ‘eat’ one ear flicked, and ‘tuna’ earned both ears upright. This god-turned-feline had enjoyed tuna right from the start and now that he was, well, a cat it sounded all the better. If he (his godly side) remembered right tuna wasn’t good for cats in large amounts, but in moderation it would be plenty fine. The cat side just plain wanted some.
... But for now he’d enjoy the scratching~

She saw how the cats attention perked up when he saw the plant. But strangely enough she didn’t want to give Tsukito the catnip. Mostly because she sent know it was catnip; she assumed it might have been any old plant. And therefore, potentially dangerous towards the feline.
“Sorry little guy, I’m going to have to clean this up!”, she said, petting him with her clean hand. Now, where to find a broom and dust pan…
‘That plant is not dangerous,’ meowed Tsukito. ‘It is a member of the mint family and can safely be consumed by humans and felines alike. I have accidentally consumed it in the past when in the form of a wolf.’
... It was really too bad his words could not be understood by humans. On the other hand, he had no intention of defying Yui’s words, and so he didn’t make another move for the tempting plant. Of course, his eyes never left it and his tail flicked from time to time.
"..." Staaaaare. How unusual. Tsukito hadn't seen someone like this before. Was the other... no, while he wasn't another god, he wasn't human either. ... Fascinating. Tsukito should have made a move to approach Shin-Ah, but instead he pulled out his notebook and stood at a distance to observe and take notes. {{ -waaaaaves- I finally sent you something! }}
Shin-Ah could see him staring. His vision caught sight of him long before his overall presence was felt by the seiryuu, which was odd. The others presence was strong, similar to his own, yet not.
This immediately brought caution to the forefront of his mind. There was no doubt this person was strong, and he could be either friend or foe. If he was a friend, Shin-Ah could be at ease. If he was a foe…he had to protect Yona.
Turning around, mask in place, Shin-Ah fixed his sight on the other who seemed to be keeping his distance.
“…Ao.”
The squirrel, who had been perched on his shoulder, immediately scurried off Shin-Ah and over to the newcomer. If he was a threat or not, Ao would know.
“...?”
It took about ten seconds after the squirrel approached for Tsukito to register its presence, and only then because of Usamaro. The white rabbit had been dozing at its master’s feet; at Ao’s approach, its ears perked up and it lifted its head. After a sniff of the air Usamaro hopped over to the squirrel.
Tsukito’s eyes, the same gold as his rabbit familiar’s, focused on the two small animals. “... An intelligent squirrel,” he noted aloud. “Usamaro, play nicely.” Not that the rabbit would have had any intention of being mean in the first place.
With that simple command Tsukito fixed his gaze once more on the squirrel’s master. “Hello,” he greeted. ... That was all.

Ⱶ “I explain things just fine,” Humpty pouted, “Don’t go telling him strange things, it’s not becoming.”
ΔⱵ “I think what he was attempting to say is we have a sort of mutual respect for each other’s differences.” Humpty glared at his brother who was currently ignoring him but sighed and nodded along with his words. “He appreciates my taste in odd and wonderful things, and I appreciate his creepiness.” Humpty had continued his bobbing head until the last word. Eyes went wide and he stormed up to his twin. prodding him with a single black fabric lined finger. “I am not creepy! Take that back!”
“... ‘And I appreciate his creepiness...’“ repeated Tsukito as he wrote the quote down. Once again he was writing exactly what he heard, exactly as he heard it.
He paused. “I do not understand what about Humpty is ‘creepy.’ He does not appear to be ‘normal,’ but what is it that makes him ‘creepy’?” questioned Tsukito. As he’d been told a while back, ‘creepy’ and ‘normal’ were subjective terms dependent upon individual opinion. “Is it his apparent ability to draw conversation back to him?”

Yui read over the note in her hands many times, each time causing the blush on her cheeks to flush an even deeper crimson.
And on her way to Tsukito’s side, she couldn’t help but go through all the scenarios in her head. What if he disliked it? Would that ruin their friendship? She sure hoped not.
Quietly, she tugged on Tsukito’s sleeve, waiting until he turned to look at her before leaning up and lightly pecking his lips.
Well, this was an unexpected development. She hadn’t thought of the possibility that Tsukito had already completed his homework. But her main goal of changing the subject had been completed.
“Oh…”, But how could they help one another if one had already completed their assignment? She caught herself sounding vaguely disappointed; which made almost no sense to her.
Hmmm, he wasn’t very good with deciphering emotions by voice alone yet, but was he right in thinking she sounded disappointed? It must have been because of something he said.
“If we cannot do homework together,” he heard himself proposing, “we have options such as taking a walk. The weather is pleasant and we do not have any homework tomorrow- should it be necessary, I will help you with what you need assistance with.”
