Rage, disappointment, apathy, hate: all feelings I have for the latest chapters of Tokyo Ghoul:re. Let me just get this out of the way. FUCK TOUKEN Everything about TG:re went to the gutter when Ishida went with Touken. just why? There was no development between Touka and Kaneki after all this time. She appears in the beginning of :re and does NOTHING, absolutely fucking NOTHING. Now she comes back and decides to kiss and fuck Kaneki? Worst part is that Ishida dedicates an ENTIRE chapter to this uneventful and cliche pairing. The only person Kaneki deserves is Hide, and HE EVEN KNOWS IT. Ishida is self aware of how much Kaneki craves to be with Hide yet he fucking decides to have Touka fuck him. I can’t even fathom the fact that Touka will now be pregnant with Kaneki’s child. Just NO.

There was even supposed to be a parallel to chapter 125 in the prequel when Amon blocked Akira’s kiss. Instead of following through with this parallel, Ishida decides to pander to TouKen. Way to go losing your fanbase over an egregious decision. I missed the Ishida that indulged in symbolism and subtle foreshadowing in the form of parallels. What happened?

I am unable to keep my feelings inside and can only resort to burning my volumes of Tokyo Ghoul. Why, you ask? Because I have invested so much time and money into this series because at first Ishida cared about making a decent plot but now it has all gone to garbage and each day I grow more disdain from having spent so much money on this fucking series. It hurts just to look at my merchandise. Giving it away wouldn’t be fair because I don’t want anyone else to suffer from Ishida’s shitty writing.

In conclusion, I do not consider the events that occurred in the latest chapter of Tokyo Ghoul:re canon. In fact, it would be best to believe that Tokyo ghoul ended in chapter 143 of the prequel, because honestly everything went downhill with :re. I guess it’s true what they say, you either die a hero or live long enough to become a toxic byproduct waste that panders to a shitty ship and that lives in the shadow of a once great manga. Ishida, just what were you thinking? You’ve lost yet another dedicated fan. There is still a slither of hope in me left that this chapter was just another one of Kaneki’s hallucinations, but it’s doubtful.

I would advise anyone who still cares about this series to burn or throw away your Tokyo Ghoul merchandise in protest. Let us try to get Ishida on the right path while there’s still time. Maybe then will Ishida acknowledge his mistakes. I know you may not care, but seriously, start trying to fix your story because at this rate you will lose half of your fanbase in only a few months. So, I am dropping Tokyo Ghoul:re. Goodbye.

Let Kaneki have some shared love gdi what is your problem with that. All of you saying that Kaneki deserves some happiness, like everyone else in the manga, and when the boi have a bonding moment 50% of the fandom is pissed because ‘’it was rushed’’ or ‘’ unecessary’’
