Today is the 5th of September where I am and that means that 5 years ago today I joined the cultural event known as Blaseball.

Last year I think I forgot to do my little retrospective, but here we are anyways with some Miki art. This is the first time I’ve drawn her, or anything Blaseball since early 2024, hell maybe even 2023, that’s insane to me. I doodled her first character design in November of 2020 after flipping through the old wiki and seeing she had no art, and hell did I change that. Blaseball not only fueled my creativity since handedly for three years straight, but fueled my passion to get where I am today.

The spies taught me a lot about myself, about others, about the internet and about growing up. I miss the people I met back in those days, the discord vcs during elections or really important game. I remember a few of us had a little gc to bring out a player in the shadows, the number of votes we had… damn we didn’t even get Donia out did we? One day I’ll reach back out to the people that kept me sane in the pandemic. I don’t think a lot would answer but still, it was a family and I never want to forget that. The people I met taught me how to be an adult, fresh out of high school and 18, the community that was there I know I will never find again.

But times move on, don’t they? I only have the spiescord and maincord left, after my breakup I tried to divorce myself from that part of me, and yet I couldn’t let those memories go. Blaseball was just a video game, it only spanned maybe what? 6 months of actual play? Yet, the impact on who I am as a person will forever be marked by the weather. The spies always ||win||, agents never die, I survived the S9 reverb, math is math, absolute mad the clout these days, fitzvape, and all that shit. I miss this fandom a lot sometimes, can you tell?

I dont think ill every be able to put to words what the spies mean to me and will forever mean to me. I found so much of myself because of you all and the friendships and relationships i have made along that way. Agents, I am forever in your debt because of the person I’ve become and the better person I am today.
