Players are at a small camp. Their quest is to stake out the area to make sure a caravan can make it through safely the next day. They have to roll a perception check to see if they can figure out what’s happening.
Amphibian Cleric rolls a 6
Me: “There’s… certainly trees and shit around here. Somewhere. Probably.”
Half-Orc Fighter rolls a 4
Me: “Wow, what a neat fire.”
Strix character, who only speaks the language of their “people,” rolls a 14
Me: “You can sense something in the bushes. Something small and shifty, probably green. A little smelly.” Strix: “Alright, cool.” Amphibian: “Are you gonna, like… tell us?” Strix. “…sure.” He then proceeds to screech at the top of his lungs and point at the bushes.
