     Raven’s mind immediately went to Hatch and his crew.  To Murphy and the expression of betrayal on his face as she locked him in there. And that was just her most recent screw up, one more burden on her shoulder to carry around. “I suppose you would prefer a honest answer… I’m sorry.” Her gaze softened a bit as she looked at the girl. “It doesn’t really get easier, but you learn to live with it.” It was the most comforting thing she could offer Hope. “Wait, so you’re telling me you’re just as old as I’m? Give or take 125 years…” One would think with her knowing Jordan, by this time she would have gotten somewhat used to this. But it still blew her mind how last she knew the girl was still an unborn baby and now she was a young woman her own age.  “Strangely enough you are not the first one to hear stories about us. It’s crazy if you ask me… Weird is a way to describe it. It makes you think though.”

arms  are  still  wrapped  around  her  knees  but  she’s  not  as  guarded  anymore.    raven’s  words  proved  what  she’d  been  thinking  all  this  time.   that’d  her  actions  would  always  stay  with  her,  even  if  she  learned  to  live  with  them.   ‘  i  can’t  imagine  how  hard  it  must  be  for  you,  all  of  you.  ’    octavia’s  stories  had  sounded  cool  when  she  was  little  but  now  she  had  learned  the  burden  of  the  blood  on  her  hands.   ‘   yeah.  10  years  with  my  mom  and  auntie  o,  10  with  dev  and  5  with  echo  and  gabriel.  plus  a  couple  of  months  on  bardo  so...   same  as  you  minus  the  cryo.   ’    her  life  had  been  seperated  in  three  pieces,  three  time  periods.    ‘   right.  jordan  and  madi...  for  what  it’s  worth  you  were  my  favorite.  actually,  bellamy  was  but  you  were  a  close  second.   ’    hope  winced  slightly  at  the  mention  of  bellamy.  to  her  he  was  a  story;  never  having  met  him,  but  to  raven  he  was  her  family  and  his  loss  must  hurt.   at  times  like  this,  she  really  wanted  to  take  back  her  words.   ‘  sorry  about  that.  ’

daisy’s  not  exactly  sure  why  they  woke  her  up,  when  they  have  both  raven  and  shaw  to  handle  the  coding.    but,  nevetheless,  she’s  sitting  down  in  the  main  room,  eating  algae  when  she’d  prefer  not  to,  and  sitting  across  from  a  tall  man  that  she  hadn’t  met  before.    ‘   you  must  be  one  of  the  warriors.  onekru...  no  wonkru,  right  ?   ’    she  offers,  a  hesitant  start  of  a  conversation.  maybe  it  wasn’t  her  best  decision,   suddenly  speaking  to  someone  that  she  hadn’t  known  before  but  she  was  bored  out  of  her  mind.   and  she’s  made  a  ton  of  bad  decisions  before.    ‘   i’m,  i’m  daisy.   ’     a  name  and  a  nervous  smile,  hoping  to  be  enough  to  prove  that  she  didn’t  have  any  malicious  intent.

    daisy  was  a  part  of  a  hacking  group  called  ‘rising  tide’,  originally  for  trying  to  find  her  parents  but  staying  to  expose  the  corrupt  goverment.

    she’s  one  of  the  eligius  prisoners;  being  arrested  for  her  hacking  in  goverment  files  and  leaking  them  to  the  public. 

    during  the  mutiny  she  supports  diyoza,  not  wanting  to  be  left  behind  on  the  asteroid.  but  after  landing  on  earth,  she  disagrees  with  going  to  war.

    daisy  is  ordered  by  diyoza  to  unlock  the  missiles  as  she’s  known  for  her  coding  skills.    she  covers  for  shaw,  claiming  raven  has  locked  them  out,  when  truthfully  neither  of  them  want  to  fire  the  missiles.

    eventually,  she  also  pays  for  it  &  ends  up  with  a  shock  collar  in  the  church.  her  being  vocal  about  disagreeing  with  their  choice  of  going  to  war  doesn’t  help  either.

   idk  probs  make  allies  with  spacekru  while  she’s  there.

he  can’t  truly  believe  the  amount  of  trauma  these  kids  have  been  in  even  before  they   landed  on  the  ground.   it  was  his  job,  or  it  had  been  on  the  ark  to  be  a  therapist  but  even  he  isn’t  sure  how  much  he  could  help  when  they  kept  going  through  one  traumatic  experience  after  another.    so  when  helo  comes  to  him,   expressing  his  fatigue,  callen  knows  it’s  so  much  more  than  physical.   

‘    that’s  normal,  after  everything  you’ve  been  through.   ’    first  he  needed  to  let  helo  know  that  it  was  more  than  understanable  to  feel  that  way.   and  then  a  beat  after,  he  continues.   ‘   do  you  want  to  talk  about  it  ?    ’     brows  furrow  with  concern  but  still  giving  helo  his  space.  he  knows  he’ll  accomplish  nothing  with  pushing  theses  teenagers  to  talk.  they  think  they  can  carry  the  world  on  their  shoulders  and  be  okay.    so  instead  his  questions  stays  as  an  invitation,   if  helo  wishes  to  take.

they’ve  all  been  through  hell.    that  much  is  obvious  without  them  having  to  say  anything.   he  can  see  it  in  their  eyes,  their  posture,  having  seen  enough  traumatized  soldiers  in  his  time  in  the  military.   so  helo’s  words  don’t  catch  him  by  surprise.   he  doesn’t  really  know  the  other,   but  he  helped  carry  shaw  to  sanctum  without  needing  to.   so  it’s  easy  to  see  that  he  cares  and  whatever  he’s  gone  through  burdens  him.    ‘   you  won’t  have  to.   we’ll  build  our  compound  here  and  you  won’t  have  to  fight  another  war.   ’      shaw  understands  that  his  words  may  not  be  enough  to  convince  him  but  he  has  to  try.

he’s  leaning  on  the  tavern’s  counter,  with  a  drink  water  in  hand  after  his  health  scare.  only  having  been  a  few  days  on  the  planet,  yet  almost  losing  his  life  already.   he  just  hoped  this  was  the  last  time  their  life  was  in  danger.   ‘   i  haven’t  been  through  as  much  as   you,  but  i  left  wars  to  explore  space  and  ended  up  straight  in  another  war.   so,  i  get  it.   ’    he  may  have  played  his  role  in  the  war  with  eligius,  but  that  had  never  been  his  intention  and  now,  he  wanted  peace  as  much  as  the  rest  of  them.

she  hasn’t  been  alright  lately  and  things  don’t  seem  to  be  looking  any  better.   but  helo  is  at  her  side,  as  always,  willing  to  comfort  her  despite  everything.    harper  knows  she  doesn’t  have  to  say  anything  but  a  part  of  her  wants  to,  despite  shutting  down  from  most  in  the  previous  days.    ‘   is  that  who  i  am  when  my  life  is  in  danger  ?   someone  willing  to  push  someone  else  to  their  death  just  so  i  can  survive  ?   ’    eyes  cast  downwards  avoiding  helo’s,  a  part  of  her  ashamed  of  what  she’d  done.   of  who  she  might  be.

it  was  an  accident,  someone  could  argue  but  despite  that  harper’s  instincts  had  drove  her  to  push  him  away.   that  scared  her.   harper  had  killed  before  and  she  had  fight  for  her  life.  but  all  her  kills  had  been  people  trying  to  kill  her,  not  innocents  desperate  to  get  away  from  the  black  rain  like  herself.
