#I voted 6 #which still isn’t pleasant but I’m not fully miserable #I’m 3.5-4.5 hours away from family so I’m used to that #a few times I’ve done the closest as a round trip so 7 hours driving in a day and that ride home sucked #I guess I’ve gone longer on a road trip style vacation #more than 6 and not miserable because I do stops along the way #9 would be a bit much; that’s not leaving much room for stuff along the way #though I have done 12 hours in a day to get my dog #can’t say I was miserable exactly because I got a dog out of it

Tf you mean people don’t keep their bedroom windows open for long amounts of time? You ACTUALY close it at night?? Dude.. I haven’t closed my window since give or take a bit around the start of spring.. and even as im freezing my bone off I refuse to close it completely - I NEED the circulating air. Do inform me.. is it actually common practice to close your window at night?

#haha so #I live in an old house #and there’s something wrong with my window #so it gets opened once a year at the beginning of summer; and closed once a year sometime in late fall #it’s hard to time it #I’m Canadian so there is absolutely no need for it to be open over the winter

#my great grandfather passed away earlier this year #this makes me sound young and I’m not #I’m 32 #he was a great great grandfather multiple times over (not by me)#he lived to 102 #lived in his own home; with stairs; and drove up until last fall #he started to have some memory issues so he surrendered his drivers license #my great grandmother (his wife) passed when I was in high school #I met at least one other great grandparent who passed away when I was a toddler #might have met her husband but I can’t remember #anyway; I saw my great grandparents as much as most people see their grandparents #I was really lucky #my great grandfather was a WW2 vet and I’m grateful I got to hear about his experiences
