At the finish of my first ultra in February.

The beginning of this blog was a fail last year. Time to try something new and redeem myself.
Running isn’t just a hobby, it’s a way of life. Lately I have hit a rough patch with my running. I went from running two ultras in the beginning of the year, to absolutely zero miles for the last two months. Due to the lack of running I have hit a low in my mental and physical states. My mind has been a black hole of depression and self hate. After these excruciating two month I can say I have finally found the light at the end of the tunnel. My motivation is back and stronger than ever.
I saw this a long time ago and finally got it to convert to GIF format on tumblr. It shows how it’s the Earth that’s moving, space is standing still. I love this perspective.Â
My morning was pretty successful a nice easy 6 miler. The 600 feet of gain on mile three is a killer, super steep super technical but really fun.

Taking this weekend off from my normal scheduled long run. I know it’s not the best specially when I have some pretty big races coming up, but I’m starting to feel burnt out. Work has been crazy lately and my hip has felt like it is on fire. Hopefully next week everything will be back to normal. Next weeks long run plan is a nice 22 miler.
