Hellenic Polytheist Hymns!!!!!
Queenie on Spotify has some AMAZING Orphic hymn adaptations. All are sung using a very lyrical translation of many of the hymns
Here are my favorites!
Oh cold-born lady
Do you spread your arms
To the fronts of white storms?
Do you lie in the blankets
Of white on the earth?
Do you listen
To the silence
That only snow can bring?
Original Poem to Lady Khione, on the eve of a snowstorm
Monthly Cycle of praise
Each day, depending on the number of the month, you may praise a god, goddess, or minor theoi associated with the number. This cycle allows for the learning of Greek myths daily and a deep connection with all of the pantheon. The cycle is based on Hesiod's works.
Notes:
Days which are associated with Horkos may be difficult
Hekate is praised at the end of the month. In short months, simply praise her on a new moon
Praising the gods listed in this list is not necessary, but as these days are sacred, it builds bonds. It's great to praise every God in this religion. It is polytheism, after all!
The cycle

May Lady Athene Eryma bless the Palestinians, the Sudanese, the Congolese, and all those suffering at the hands of injustice.
There are people in the witchcraft and pagan communities that really need to come to terms with the fact that pagan isn't the universal term for everything that isn't Christian (or Jewish, or Islamic). Hinduism isn't pagan. Buddhism isn't pagan. Hoodoo isn't pagan. African traditional religions aren't pagan. Many regional folk practices aren't truly pagan. The list goes on. It's more of an insult than an identity for some of these groups.
fuck, can we go a step further than this?
Witchcraft isn't paganism. Unless it is.
Witchcraft can be pagan. But individually, it is its own thing.
To explain better: witchcraft individually isn't pagan. If a person decides to incorporate their pagan religion into their witchcraft practice, then sure, it can be pagan. You don't have to be pagan to practice witchcraft.
I was just doodling stuff for a comm sheet but I ended up rendering this so!! Athene!!
Man, I crave a physical community for hellenic polytheists like me. I want so badly for some kind of group to spring up here in the states so that I can have that kind of tangible community experience again, it's one of the things I actually miss the most from my time in Eastern Orthodoxy. I hope that someday we can have temples, perform rites and just.. thrive. I want that so badly.
I’m seeing the HelPol community turn out in massive numbers on certain posts. Like up to 2000 of yall be on here.
WHY HAVE WE NOT CONGREGATED.
I know there’s disagreements within among us and a lot of discord servers. But like. We always talk about wanting community more. More gathered ritual, more of that community feeling.
So what are we doing?
I feel like I don’t genuinely know anyone who is a Hellenic polytheist, and I want to. We all should want to.
Rhea, the mother of the gods.
I’m convinced that food tastes better after being given as an offering and/or left on the altar for a bit. Like the gods themselves added their own flavors.
anyways since im up paganposting
fuck gerald gardner
Pagan =/= Witch 2024
This means that witches can stop tagging spells, astrology stuff, and witchcraft things with pagan tags. The two overlap but some of us just. Aren’t interested.
