Trainer Advice #2: Starting a New Job
When our routine is disrupted we go to this place of just feeling scattered; we start picking and choosing what we can do and what we can't. Take that time to plan ahead it might seem like the last thing you want to do right now but in the long run it'll help you out. Plan your workout, plan when to eat, plan those quick 15 mins where all you want to do is breath.
Trainer advice #1: Waking up early.
We all have those days when your alarm goes off and you just want to skip that morning work out and stay in bed. This morning I pushed myself to get out of bed by pulling of the covers and feeling the morning cold do the rest after that initial minute or two that you're up. Then keep moving! Fix your bed (I find this helps). But whatever you do, do not be tempted to go back to bed. You never know your crush might just show up during your workout and make your days, you never know...
Starting my journey to self transcendence.
(Noun) transcendence - The state of excelling or surpassing or going beyond usual limits.
Lately I've been struggling to figure out who I am or what I am good at; I've been questioning the past two years of my life, what have I done? Why do I have nothing to show for it? Then I look at myself and compare that person to who I was a year or two ago and I realize I do have something to show for it. I am alive and I am well.
Today I've decided to test my limits but not in a way to challenge myself but as a way to reward myself for just simply being. I signed up for my first Self-Transcendence Ultra Classic 6 hour race. And starting today I will be writing about my journey as I train my body and mind for that run while also trying to help others through their journey.
Run somewhere beautiful. Run like Phoebe. Run like it's just you and your goal. Just run.
