In the last episode of s2 when Erwin wakes up after losing his arm Levi has his cravat. And then he doesn't. Levi hides Eren and 104th. Erwin stays at the HQ. Next time we see Levi wearing his cravat is after Historia's coronation.

Erwin knows that their his room is going to be searched and he is going to be arrested. He knows they won't let him keep anything of value but say an indiscrete piece of cloth.. that he can probably keep on himself.

Levi left his cravat with Erwin and did not take it back until they were safely reunited.
