This tiktok about someone’s pre-transition self is so so SO tender and I just want anyone who has transitioned and may be mourning their old self to see this and to know it’s okay. It’s okay to miss that person you once were, it’s okay to wish you had embraced what you had and who you were before transitioning. It doesn’t mean you regret it, and it doesn’t mean you made the wrong decisions.
It’s okay to think about that person, it’s okay to mourn them, and it’s okay to wonder. The person you were before transitioning may have been a trick of the light, but it doesn’t mean they weren’t special while they were here.
Everyone’s experience is different… but if you find yourself feeling this, just know it’s okay. You don’t have to completely block out every aspect and memory of who you were before. It’s okay if you do, but you don’t have to.
♥️♥️♥️
Holy shit that legit gave me goosebumps. This the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard
last days of pride, just in time for Bill & Ted’s Most Genderous Adventure 🤘
i said bill AND ted’s gender adventure didn’t i?
You wanna know what all these four have in common??? They're anything but cis. They're all main characters who are non-human hybrids in animated shows :D
Danny Phantom!!! one of my fav childhood cartoons. First pic is my own interpretation for new-age designs of the main 3 and then we have some doodles.
DP inspired so many aspects of Seekers so i just love this cartoon
trans love is holy :)
An older lady at the grocery store looked me up and down, smiled, and said only, "Muscles" in a happy tone as I passed by and tbh I have never felt more validated.
The experience of shaving my face is such a weird combination of both gender euphoria and dysphoria. Because, on one hand, I'm finally getting to do something that is widely considered to be masculine...but on the other, once it's done, my facial hair is gone. And sure, it'll grow back, but it takes so long. T^T
top surgery recovery has given me a lot of time to think, which is both epic and not. Been thinking a lot about past selves, past experiences, and how they all led up to me being the person I am today. I dont like the “I was born in the wrong body” rhetoric because I think it removes the agency for trans people to self-determination of our identities, nor do I like trans identities to be reduced to our bodies. I was that little girl, and I am not ashamed of her, nor was she ever my enemy. We do not have to reject our past selves to validated in our current selves, and I will continue to cherish the little girl in my head because she helped me become the person I am now <3

Unstoppable force (me, rubbing the little bit of beard that I finally have because ~soft~) vs immovable object (getting zits from touching my T-induced oily face)
Oops I did it again (got my hair cut).
GUYS. If you say a character isn’t a trans boy bc they have been shirtless and haven’t had boobs/scars realize this
There are AFAB people with almost completely flat chests (flat enough to look like a AMAB/A post top surgery person’s (Bc I know some people who get top surgery aren’t male-identifying technically) chest)
Also there’s a surgery that doesnt leave the two lines, which is called Keyhole surgery. (The two lines are double incision)
Also, there’s blockers that can stop the growth of breasts if you take them before puberty.
No but seriously, there’s more than one chest surgery. Not all leave noticeable scars. Just different ones are for different types of bodies.
[clutches my pearls] Trans people in 1921?!??! But I thought trans people were trend of today’s youth!
I’d like to add my great great aunt Flora!
Y'all wanna know why we don’t see or hear about trans people from that era?
That’s because that picture was taken at what is known in its native language as Institut für Sexualwissenschaft, it is the place where the first trans healthcare was developed, where the term transsexual was coined.
Do you want to know what happened to the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft?
It was the victim of the very first Nazi book burning. Their teachings were outlawed and their books destroyed. Their leaders - such as Magnus Hirschfeld - were criminalized and exiled, if not outright murdered.
The fascists exterminated not just a generation of trans people, but they erased our history from the books almost entirely. It took us almost a century to get back to where we are now.
We’ve always been here, but our future is not guaranteed. We have to fight for our survival, because it’s happening again.
Facial hair update: I'm currently 9 months on T and it's still not very visible, but it's finally starting to come in!
If you look reeeally close, you'll see it. 😂
Happy TDOV, everybody!
I'm over 2 months post-op for top surgery...so, I hope you all don't mind me going topless!
