hi, this answer is a bit late but ill explain.

a fictive is an alter role in a system, which basically means that alter *is* the character irl and has memories of being that character. this is the most i can explain without diving too deep into dissociative identity disorder or what a system is, i recommend doing your own research tho

actually, i would like to clarify on this if that’s alright!

fictives / introjects are not “the character irl”, they are their own person, and not every introject experiences source memories. now, an introject can be attached to their source to the point of saying they’re an irl, and that’s fine! (as long as they don’t start harassing people over it).
