It's been a slow week for us here at Transient. Soul crushing work getting in the way of finding new and incredible music...which makes this track from C ∆ L I C that much more of a sonic oasis for us - splashing our ears with wetsuit worthy synths and lush R&B samples. This is the first we've heard of British band Bare Pale But from the sound of their single Mexican Wave, these guys are boldly taking fuzz where no fuzz has gone before. The last we heard from Perth based Seams they were blending mathrock and the free-flowing grooves of surf pop into the unlikely  and incredible Boomer. Their newest track titled Opossum furthers the bands rep as the Bill Nye the Sciene Guy of the indie music scene combining A psychedelic film theme with something the band is calling Marsupial Surf. Not sure what exactly I was expecting to hear when I first clicked play on Deafkid's 'Pig', but this new project from Chris Lockington and Florian Sauvaire of Ghostpoet goes far beyond the unassuming "pop electronic" tag they've labeled it. Awesomely eclectic and ever-evolving the song has more in common with John Carpenter's Thing than it does traditional electro-pop. I'm exaggerating of course. But you get what we're goin for. In what's becoming somewhat of a bi weekly regular post here's another from the young and restless Dylan Seih aka Tours. His new one is titled 'Near Me' and though still brimming with Seighs patented spaced-out shoegaze the track is more brooding and twisted than anything we've heard so far from the guy. It was all the way back in November around the time our lil blog revved up that we first posted the hectic brilliance of Tim Fitz. It's been a quiet six plus months since then but Fitz is finally back. Now going under the name Tricky-FInger Tim (figures), his new track titled Kleptocraniac has all the inconsistencies and absurdity we expect from a Tim Fitz track — glitchy electronica, scattershot percussion, and a lucid piano track that carries the song like a sobering cup coffee through a blitzed out night of debauchery. Our second post of the day is another chill one, but after yesterday's work related all nighter we're really diggin the sugar coated scuzz of 'Best Friend' from Los Angeles based duo Tashaki Miyaki. It's the musical equivalent of a hammock and a cool breeze. Or if you prefer a more posh analogy, a goose feathered pillow. The track is off the groups upcoming double A side due August 6 from Luv Luv Luv.

'Nothing To Say' from 'Snacs' is minimal, ethereal, and downright misty.  There's also some gorgeous Alicia Keys sampling going on under it all, bringing the loveliness of this track to a fever pitch.

From the grizzled distortion of Clint Lokrantz's guitar it sounds like he's experienced enough heartache for ten, maybe eleven men. We've posted his new band Grey Gardens once before, but now with two more singles under his belt Lofkrantz, the once former frontman of the Shimmering Stars seems firmly entrenched in the sad bastard sounds of his new venture. 'Leo The Lion' is a ridiculously fun bit of beatmaking built around sounds of a kid (probably named Leo) growling like a feral cat and shouting lyrics like "I'm Leo The Lion!" and "drop the beat!" And though we can't much about the artist who goes under the moniker White Mountain Warrior it sounds like this sampler is thoroughly enjoying fatherhood.

Think what we love most about Japanese electro-pop duo Amorphous is how they make danceable music for people who don't like dancing. It's just so smooth, so seductive, so irresistibly cool you just can't help yourself.  Wallflowers be warned. Check out their newest track 'Thee Disco' above.
