(What is this?)
This is a gimmick blog! I take random posts (mostly but not exclusively from other translator blogs) and translate them in classical(ish) Latin. My main is @roseboy-in-training!

(Who am I?)
I am NOT an expert in Latin, nor Latin literature (far from it, in fact), I’m just a silly person who really liked Latin in school. My pronouns are he/him (is/eum in Latin) and I’m barely an adult (19 ~ XIX).

(What is my translation procedure?)
I prefer to avoid non-classical expressions, such as New Latin, vulgar or medieval expressions, but sometimes they’re necessary. Same goes for neologisms and pseudo-grecisms (ψευδοελληνικισμοί). As for textposts that directly refer to the op, I check their pronouns first to choose which gender pronouns and adjectives to use, but if I can't find them I'll pretend that I’m the op and default to masculine (i.e. the gender I use for myself, which I will also apply when the op refers to a hypothetical “you”)

(What is my writing standard?)
I want my posts to be recognisable written Latin, so I mostly follow modern spelling conventions. That means using both capital and minuscule letters, using U and V as different letters, and not explicitly marking vowel length in any way (see here for more) outside of the tags. I will however admit that I despise the use of J in Latin for completely arbitrary reasons, so that's that on that.
