I just saw a new episode of Who’s Line is it Anyway? in which other cast members made a transphobic joke where the punchline was “that woman has a penis.” Colin, who has a trans daughter, stood there and just repeatedly said “Really?” Until they apologized and redid their joke. Very small thing, but I appreciate the man.

I don't think you should, but ultimately it is your choice. I, too, have been plagued by suicidal thoughts moat of my life, but one the strongest things that keeps me in the current world is knowing that my existence is rebellion. A lot of people would jump at the erasure of a queer trans woman and I intend to exist in revolt to the idea of others who try to wish away the validity of me being and me offing myself, I feel, is submission to their whims, which I will not grant to them. And I know that can seem a bit vindictive, but I personally feel that one should not succumb to these thoughts when there's a lot a person can do to impact another or cause an important event to occur. Who knows, perhaps you free yourself of the ailments that bind you and you become a doctor someday that saves a lot of people's lives or a social worker that makes lives better for other's. I'm also do not want it to look as if I am toting the idea you should live to serve others, but that is a lot of my reasonings for staying and you need to find yours by your own findings. Whether it be to learn deeply about something or create, this fleeting plain of existence holds many wonders and mysteries and you only get so long to experience it. I also do not know anything about you, my anon friend, not sure what exactly prompted this question nor do I know exactly what you feel, but I assure you that when you get to the dark places like you appear to be in, it truly makes the light that much more vibrant when you come back to it. I think talking to someone would help tremendously, preferably a professional, but a dear friend or close family memeber will also be great. It's been but a short time in our short little one question friendship, anon, but know that I love you and I want you to keep in mind, as much hatred there is in the world, there is just as much love.

The huge amount of pressure on young girls to let their boyfriends get away with everything and not to stand up for themselves, lest they stop being a ‘chill girlfriend’ and instead become a horrible, controlling harpy is such bullshit. Hey, haven't really been posting pics of myself since I hated how I was looking since I was off my hormones for about 6 months due to insurance issues, I was never really consistently on them in the first place. However, I have gotten it sorted out for the most part and now I've been back on Spiro and estradiol for about a month and little over a week and I just started progesterone last night, hopefully that also helps. Here's to a decent start to 2018 and new prospects.
